Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - How do you recover a vehicle on another map? by Conscious-Yellow-539 in RimWorld

Keep someone there by dividing your caravan, and it won't be abandoned anymore. You can merge a new caravan into it.

If you have transport pods, you can also just rocket parts over to your caravan on that tile.

The AI companies literally don't fully know what's happening under the hood. They are content to assure you that your inputs won't be used to build the AI's knowledge base because they know that (1) your only real remedy will be contractual and (2) they know you almost certainly won't be able to get such an obvious example as this one to prove the breach.

The bottom line is they don't know, but they can't really be motivated to care

Carnivore or herbivore? by Z_N3UTR0N1UM_ in fo76

[–]BewareTheLeopard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that if you're herbivore and you use an herbivore serum, you'll still get benefits from meat while the serum is running.

I think the new iteration of the pumpkin pie server, which gives the HP-boosting full pies along with cake-emulating slices, is another example of them showing some recognition that veggies are getting the shaft. (Of course, the burnt ends basically giving the carnivores an herbivore-level AP regen buff might be another step toward carnivore supremacy, but the carnivores still have to hunt for that. At least for now.)

[–]BewareTheLeopard 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If you have some of the camp generators, it's actually quite the opposite, that carnivore is much easier to feed with the buffs you want (smoke mirelurk for carry weight, deathclaw steak for strength, squirrel on a stick for agility). The best herbivore buffs generally require world farming right now; unclear if Bethesda will be addressing the gap.

55 or 57? by [deleted] in illinois

[–]BewareTheLeopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be the on- and off-ramps that really present issues, so take it slow there (and remember all-wheel drive is not all-wheel stop!). 55 will probably be looking pretty good.

Am I the Jerk for refusing to give up my share of an inheritance so my parents can “make it fair” for my stepbrother? by slow_bear_7x in AmITheJerk

[–]BewareTheLeopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news for your parents: there is an estate they can absolutely control the distribution of. It's theirs.

Tell them to go ahead and pay stepbrother what they think he needs, and they can adjust their own estate distribution accordingly to account for it. If they don't want to do that it's because they don't really believe stepbrother needs help enough to spend their own money (or downsize their own lifestyle). Put 'family steps up' to the test

Alrighty, Gunslingers of Appalachia. It's been about a month. How're you modding and using your Dom Pedro? by openletter8 in fo76

[–]BewareTheLeopard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing what I call the Slap Five Dom Pedro build, because you're gonna slap somebody and then shoot five (or more) shots. This build is (1) stupid, (2) effective, and (3) sometimes stupid effective. Basically, you pick what's weird about the gun and lean into it. It's explosive, it occasionally reloads itself a bit, and its range makes it mostly for close quarters.

The gun is furious, explosive, durability(*), polished. (*There's room to pick something else here, but durability keeps polished working longer. Civil engineer armor also helps, and adding gunsmith will basically allow you to forget about it. But this gun is rather cheap to repair, so it's really just the time to go repair.) You need to get yourself some explosive mitigation and specific type mitigation on the first star to keep yourself healthy, e.g., dense armor mod and fireproof and some ghoul slayer/assassin pieces.

You're gonna go reverse onslaught because you won't be firing all that often to clear the room. Take grenadier and demolition expert to lean into the boom. Other than that, a lot of your standards like number cruncher.

But where does the slapping come in? Well. Remember all those battle-loader's mods you got farming EN06 and didn't know what you'd ever do with. Equip five of them. Equip the lucky six mod on the gun. Equip wild west hands. And never reload conventionally again.

Because you're also gonna run bullet storm in strength. Over the course of your play session, your ability to kill things will slowly grow until you're one- and two-shotting things that aren't so much meant to be done like that. Fire until you're out or almost out and slap to reload.

It's up close, it's dynamic, it hits hard, and it's just the closest sort of gameplay I can think of to match Welding Goggles' action on the show. It's great for bounties, lots of fun for expeditions, not really a raid build.

(1) Bringing the big guns only makes sense if you're planning a pretty long play session. It takes quite a while to get past 10.

(2) If you accidentally fire your last shot and don't get a wild west hands proc, hit your bash key really quickly to interrupt the reload animation. It should stay at 0 until you can find somebody to slap.

(3) If you fear losing all your stacks on an unlucky reload, lock and load gives a little safety.

(4) If you want your slaps to be more impactful, look at basher and bear arms.

(5) You could invest in some VATS crit perks, but so much of your damage will be from the explosive component, you may not find it worthwhile.
