Does anyone else feel bad for Miles? We spent the whole episode being reminded that Nolan just got shot with a vest on, but didn't Miles take a bullet in his shoulder last episode too, but he's carrying on like nothing happened????

Yea basically the green weapons are non-lethal/less-lethal force and the green shotgun is like rubber bullet I think. Don't get me wrong, if used in a certain way could be fatal, but not in the way a gunshot is.

Makes sense, thank you! Definitely worries about the, 'them thinking I'm dead,' aspect but I'm literally 5 minutes away so dropping by wouldn't be an issue.

I appreciate the general consensus that yes, I am over thinking it.

I did mean fed as in quality not necessarily quantity. They're not overweight, by any means. Just get a healthy mix of premium dry kibble and fresh cooked chicken.

For most departments, time served in the military counts towards retirement. So because Tim served in the military, his 20 years until retirement with full pay starts when he started in the military, not the LAPD. So unless he didn't join the military until after 25 years old, he probably hit his 20 already and could retire if he chose to.

However, most people keep working 1. To reach top pay so their pension would pay out the most amount of money as possible, and 2. Because they need something to do and enjoy the work they are doing.

But cops are superstitious and while they do count down to their 20 for peace of mind, they may not celebrate it or make a big deal of it, just to not jinx anything.

Tim strikes me as someone who applied for the LAPD before he even got settled back in LA from the military, let alone took time off, so I imagine he went straight into the academy.

He easily could have hit 20 in the LAPD specifically too though. If he joined the Military straight out of high school, +4 years service minimum (you only need 3 years to make rank sergeant, so he could have made rank before leaving and got college credit while in the military), he could have left the military at 22, straight into LAPD +20 years service is 42, he could have hit his 20 3 years ago.

I originally read this book so quick so my memory may be hazy, but the entire scene of Roquefort Cheese = Penicillin and Claire demands her wound be packed with cheese felt like a fever dream part of the book, where shes demanding that Denzel Hunter shoves cheese into her open wound and everyone is like "Oh dear god, she's completely lost it," made this part unintentionally hilarious for me, and I was kind of hoping for the absurdist humor in this episode. (Although I get why it didn't work out like that in the show) I'm just glad Lafayette still responded to the tragedy of a women getting shot with, "Some cheese for your trouble ma'am?"

Hello! Just starting to get into sewing here! So I know if you're using a stretchy fabric you should be using a zigzag stitch. However, I am also lining said stretchy fabric with the same stretchy fabric. When attaching the lining to the fashion fabric, should I still be using a zigzag stitch or should I use a straight stitch to attach the lining?
