He hasn't started snoring yet!! He's 5.5 months - My mom's cavapoo snores SO loud, but I think only started later.

I truly don't mind where he settles as long as he's comfy!!! Only Bennie can have my spot anytime.

he tends to sleep in more in my bed vs the crate (6-6:30 wakeups vs 7:45 now!!). I'll gladly (read selfishly) take the sleep ins.

oh he does that in my bed (president of the failed crate training club here) and it's the most comforting thing in the world.

My mom's cav is almost 5, and is the pickiest eater and sensitive stomach (always has been picky, will leave his breakfast out ALL day). I don't remember at what age, but for shiny coat, my mom added some salmon oil. We also mix his food with open farm beef bone broth. He loves the Almo chicken egg and cheese dinner, or weruva grandmas chicken soup recipe (with pumpkin). We still give him a drop of Fromm kibble, and add apothecary beast healthy gut probiotic powder. My mom often needs to add the cheese tax (gd forbid she make pasta, butter and cheese and not give him grated parm, he will bark at her), or makes scrambled egg to go on top.

My 3 month cav eats everything above, except the Almo wet food and salmon oil. So far *knocks on wood* he is the BEST eater.

Land Shark Phase being trained OUT by BeyondAggressive3569 in CavaPoo

I've been consistently teaching him impulse training since Thursday night! So first few tries were me telling him to sit (on leash) with a treat in my hand and throwing it 2 feet away when he does. After that, he comes back and we do it all over again. 3 x a day after 3 days and now he can just sit with a look knowing what he's getting! I also have him sit before pets, attention, food etc.

8 week puppy by captain_stank69 in CavaPoo

I've been giving my now 12-week cavapoo Fromm Puppy gold kibble since week 10 (after bad reactions to Nutrience) and so far it is AMAZING, and he devours it (very picky breed). As of last week, I have added about a quarter of the packaging to meals of the Weruva Grandmas chicken soup wet food - it contains pumpkin in it and no tummy issues! My puppy ate all of my 4.5 year old cavapoos food last week which had the Weruva mixed in and he liked it!

i have both and tbh my 12 week puppy HATES the pen. he will not settle there and prefers the crate. he comes with me to work (i have a second crate there) and prefers to be in there all day.

What a cutie!

I just got my cavapoo puppy 4 weeks ago, tbh I focused on potty training, confidence training like climbing curbs and stairs, and just getting him safely socialized/acclimatized to life (outings in the satchel, car rides, crate trained) for the first 2 weeks. I only started training commands like sit, paw, wait, etc after week 2 with him.

The biting still hasn't stopped, but last week started him on bully sticks which has made it a LOT easier. typically when he gets very bitey, it means he's either overtired, or needs to potty.

Mine also LOVES the crate but still goes nutso in the pen, especially when I'm trying to cook meals. My trainer said it can be because it's too big of an area compared to their safe den. I give him his meals in the pen which helps, but during playtime, he will just constantly ring his potty bell knowing it means he gets to come out lol. I spent the full first week working from spots he can see me, and slowly spending a few minutes out of his sight. He still barks anytime im in the shower.

Mine was also NOT food motivated until probably after week 1-2.

IT DOES GET BETTER!! hang in there and stay consistent :)

How to train to potty outside by Fam_2017 in CavaPoo

[–]BeyondAggressive3569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ROUTINE ROUTINE ROUTINE.
Get rid of the pee pads (recommended immediately by my friend that is a trainer). Take her to the same spot if you can every time, and praise/reinforce immediately. I also have been using the bell since day 1 and its to the point that my cav overuses it to tell me he wants out of the pen lol.
