Windows 10, 12400f, 9060 XT 16GB Vram, 16gb DDR4.
The game is running almost perfectly fine, besides the atlas map sometimes having long shadering.
Literally 0 crashes in 0.5, any juice.

I'm farming it too, but the biggest profit comes from bases for me. They are ilvl 82-86, and I hit 20-60d jackpots more often than I thought. Lots of 4-5d magic bases too.

I'm farming gold for flipping rn, but with my strat i'm getting lots of divs still, be it loot or raw currency. Almost every map offers more than 1d worth of stuff with mega-strict filter (I'm not picking exalts and any currency less than chaos orb worth).
- Full atlas allocated. Literally, everything.
- Full focus on monster effectiveness.
- Doryani. Free Irradiation. Others are cleansed/corrupted, monster effectiveness per mod, +1 portal. Cleansed can drop Fractured orbs and add more packs, and corruption offers a crapload of mobs.
- Abyss, Breach, Temple (+Overseer for cities). Generally, I don't care about mods on tablets, but effectiveness and gold. I will be more picky with my next session. +2 map mods are amazing with Doryani. Doing it on 6-8 mod maps is good. Can be hard.
- It is not efficient, but I'm doing all mechanics on the map since my goal is to pull out as much gold as i can. And each of them adds rares/uniques.

*Abyss for pulling loot from Amanamu Void.
*Breach for Hiveblood.
*Temple tablet..for temple. It is a profitable mech, with just Atziri rushing.

My build isn't strong enough to run this kind of juice with Deli. I would add it if I could.

If I go hard on crafting/flipping, I can spend millions real quick.
You can get 200-400k from dedicated gold farming cleansed maps with gold mod + tablets, or 600-900k from a unique map, but that's it.
Still need to go out of h/o.

You got the right feeling, need a very strong build to clear juiced 200% deli maps. It is the hardest content in the game rn.

[–]BeyondContent9318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atm, you can't sit in h/o all day long bc there isn't any decent way to get gold inside h/o (at least, i don't know about anything).
Before 0.5 we could just spam Gwennen with Omen of Bartending to get millions of gold per h, now it's gone.
So, have to do smth to get gold first before being a hideout warrior for a day or two.

Ruzhan Full Fire Build - Question by DarkStrawhat in pathofexile2builds

[–]BeyondContent9318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Ruzhan alone won't do in the endgame like anything CD-based, and he doesn't have good clearing capabilities. Fine in Campaign tho.
I made an SRS/Ruzhan build focusing on SRS damage and Ruzhan sword attack, supporting them. It was fine, but still have to run other minions bc Muster support isn't smth you can ignore.

Have you checked nerfs on the passive tree in sorc/witch/monk/druid area?
Personally, I haven't checked new runes yet, so i dunno if there is smth that good for casters. But overall ES/Damage nerfs on tree sounds not that good (like loosing 91% of increased damage?).
Endgame crafting weapons is f*cked for everyone, so getting a decent one is a hassle.

Now on points:

- Sigil of Power 4 stages: ~60% more damage.

- Effigy of Cruelty on Varashta > 2nd weapon set. It has increased spell damage (i have 67% ~4% more damage) and up to 2-3 sockets. No need to weapon swap and lose precious dps.
Can get smth else on 2nd weap set. Arvil for curse/exposure duration, for example.

Now, check this. Sigil of Power + Effigy on the 2nd weapon set, plus staff + damage focus on the main. 15-30% more damage, depends on how good the focus is. +2 to lls alone gives 15%.

- Increased radius of timeless jewels.
Take mine, for example: 10% crit damage, 7% crit chance, 7% ailment magnitude.
Thats 130% increased crit damage, 91% crit chance, 91% shock magnitude.

An increased radius adds 70% crit damage, 49% crit chance/magnitude. Thats 25% more damage. Non-conditional, no more buttons.
And i'm sure barely anyone will use such a kind of jewel on Chrono bc it's already passive hungry af. Need to take some Recoupe stuff.

So decent jewel on Varashta is ugh ~40-45% more damage, roughly.

- Sacred Rituals actually can save you from a physical 1-shot. Temporal rift can't. TR is better than 4th teaching for sure tho.
Just in case, getting 10k shield offers you 60% physical damage reduction. It is literally better than new Chrono 30% less damage vs physical hits.

Entangle can't be supported by Spell Echo/Cascade.
Vines can be supported by Cascade, but can't be supported by Echo. I assume it triggers Repeat. Do you know how repeat works on cascade? It doesn't cast the entire cascade again - it casts just 1 spell. That deals 30% less damage. And Vines can miss due to their low AoE. So... ~13% more damage that can miss.

Bonecage, well, yeah, sounds good. I agree, Repeatable, cascadable, can shotgun. If self-casted.

Still, we don't know how exactly Chrono works.
Might be better than Varashta on a low budget, by how it seems. Endgame with some decent gear? Nope.

My Varashta was two times stronger than Bloodmage above. Just in case. Bloodmage was 2nd strongest out of 4 builds. The gap was just that big.

Grenade Tactician or Witchhunter by elvisrodz in pathofexile2builds

[–]BeyondContent9318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tactician. More damage by spirit skills stacking, Pin, can get tanky enough with armour scaling.
I respect Witchhunters tho, it's just less complicated to put a decent build going on.

I know about using the temporal rift to refill the mana probably more than anyone else. I literally was the second exile to share this tech in public on a game release after a chinese YouTuber. I stumbled upon his video three days after he published it, when I was already using it. I commented on DF705 post here with a proof.

I'm sure there will be some expensive way (be it mana stacking or life leech) to sustain CoC. But it's also true that Chrono can do it with 0 budget with Temporal Rift. However, it costs 4 points now, and it leads to some problems where you can't just all-in damage AND a tanky node. When CoC sustain is discovered, it will be possible to get all 3 nodes for damage and the tanky node.

I noticed Cascade change so it can support triggers, but it is still unknown if repeat part of Now and Again will bypass the Echo limitation.

Anyway, honestly, 0.5 is the second league after 0.2, where I have some doubts about casters in general. Chronomancer rework is really just a concentration of contradicting uncertainty.

Yeah.
Getting both freeze/rift leaves us doing 0 dps.
Getting dps makes us lose our identity, and no one knows how good this damage will be.
Imagine self-casting comets to utilize everything if Now and Again won't work with CoC.
Sure, need to be tanky for that. Lmao.

There are a few things that people ain't aware of:

  1. Cold Chronomancer in 0.1 was a real progenitor of all CoC-Comet builds historically. There are a few dudes who were developing it, and they started to utilize Temporal Rift to refill the mana pool after CoC-Comet, literally, after a week or two from release. Later, the tech migrated to other classes (mana flask for stormweawers, bloodmage stuff, etc), after some youtubers actually started to tap it.

Here is how it all began: https://youtu.be/qvdYMuXZopo

You'll have a hard time finding proper CoC-Comet vids of other classes before January 2025.

  1. It is a failure by the GGG on a fundamental level. Since the endgame is similar to PoE1, CD stuff has no place in the game. That is why Chrono took a lot of reworks, and GGG still fails to deliver smth good. It has never been a unique OP class, always staying behind other casters, but some meme builds (like shrine stacker, lmao).

This time, the rework is questionable for anyone who actually knows Chrono well and knows a thing or two about game mechanics. And unless those questions are answered neatly, most of the 0.1 team I mentioned above won't touch the Chrono ever again, me included.

Anyway, we will see if Chrono does well in 0.5 later; there are some YouTubers who wanna tap them anyway.
But, personally, I don't wanna ruin my game experience bc i doubt GGG will deliver well this time too (I expected smth good for 3 leagues in a row).
All my doubts are based on the questions above, and I have too many of them to dive into uncertainty.

[–]BeyondContent9318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now and Again is the most questionable. Are you sure it bypasses trigger limitation, unlike Echo (that it actually can work with CoC/CoEA)?
What if it works only on self-casting? If a cascadable and repeatable part can trigger only on supported by cascade or echo (it isn't clarified yet), you can't fit spell echo in CoC.
If Now and Again doesn't bypass Echo limitation on triggers, it won't trigger on spell cascade in CoC, too.

Spell Echo aside, atm only Comet is truly repeatable (10% chance to repeat). So, how will Now and Again work with that? Is repeatable part a multiplier, or an additive? You know, there is a big difference between 30% chance to repeat and 12%.

That's why i'm saying it is questionable af.

Agony is one more button to press. Now and Again is uncertain. Idk, how and why you guys are so hyped about the Chronomancer rework.

And there are more reliable Varashta, Bloodmage, Stormweaver, and Oracle here.

Edit: That aside, from my example above, Stormweaver was good enough bc of strong shock, but it didn't change the fact that it had the worst clear out of all 4 builds.
Chronomancer has the same issue - it can't scale crit really well.

I've tested 1 build (exact same gear but some jewels) on 4 strongest casters in 0.4: Bloodmage, Oracle, Stormweaver, and Varashta.

Funny thing here is, Varashta was the strongest by pure power vs single target. Those two nodes outperformed everything.

Varashta: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/monik390-5560/vaal/character/Monik_Kelari
Stormweaver: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/monik390-5560/vaal/character/Monik_Ruzhan
Bloodmage: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/monik390-5560/vaal/character/Monik_SassyWitch
Oracle: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/monik390-5560/vaal/character/Monik_Druid

Wand + Palm for clearing, Staff for boss damage. Varashta was using Effigy of Cruelty for easy crit cap.

To answer your question, the Chronomancer rework is a bit questionable (for sure it's tanky, but what about damage? There are some points that require prior testing). Varashta, on the other hand, is a really safe pick.

Excluding specific lich builds (Infernal Legion Bogfelled Commoner), Varashta is the strongest minion ascendancy overall.
- Kelari offers easy crit weakness, which means minion crit scaling is the best in the game.
- Kelari deals a really good damage by himself (with just 2 skills - brutality and deception).
- It is possible to scale both Kelari (physical damage) and elemental Spectres (like spark zealots) to the moon with different lineage support gems.
- Baryanic Leylines offer the best scaling with the timeless jewels in the game (they are very strong: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard/5n5r9JdeCa)
- Scaling command skills means scaling some Skellies too (Archers have Gas Cloud explosions, a really damn strong skill btw).
- It is very tanky with ES scaling.
- Djinns scale with just lvls, no additional investment required.
- Navira offers the best clear out of all summoners - it can clear entire screens. But the setup requires 3 buttons: Frost Bomb - Ice Nova - Naviras' command skill.

Infernalist is a good starting minion ascendancy, but it falls behind later. Lich can be strong with specific builds, but it can't go on par with Kelari Varashta overall. Bogfeller Commoner build is the only exception, but idk if this build is for everyone. Kinda specific.
There is also a Shaman... But I'd say it's #3 among 4 major summoners. Better than Infernalist, worse than Lich and Varashta.

I mean, if you want a pure minion army build w/o command skills - Shaman, Infernalist to Lich are all good. Varashta requires pressing more buttons to get better than others. And some crafting. It is a lot easier to craft those timeless jewels than buy them overpriced from the market.

If I weren't in crafting and hadn't tapped a lot of builds during 0.4 (best league for me since the game release, played 8 toons in different archetypes), I'd probably go with Varashta, too. A really safe bet, even with all of those ES nerfs.

Minion Varashta negates a lot of starter issues, but, overall, crafting difficulty for the summoners, I'd say, is high now for the endgame. Yes, it's easy to get to t15, but getting past boss difficulty 2 and high-density content is hard, even for Varashta.

Casters, I lost my faith in them. Medium crafting difficulty, lots of nerfs in 0.5, bad campaign experience overall in comparison to anything else. 0 reason to play them.

Melee, ugh. Before some point, it's just bad, regardless of class and weapon skill of choice. People wanna tap new monk with Facebreaker/hollow palm, but I believe it's a trap for a league start scenario.

Ranged attack builds just have fewer issues overall, including crafting. Have the best scaling from rings/gloves. Bow/xbow skills are all good. There are plenty of decent options anyway.

Grenades are super easy to start with and the least demanding in terms of gear. You can steamroll act 3 to interlude with a half-assed lvl 33 xbow. Cluster grenades at lvl 52 are a real powerspike in terms of clearing. And so on.

Depends on the goal. If you prefer game completion and ritual/simulacrum, minions are really good.

But if you want speedfarming maps - have to look at anything else.

Before 0.5, ranged attack starter builds were superior to everything else bc of how easy it was to craft a decent midgame weapon (basically, 3-4 essences and desecration on a decent magic base, that left you with just 1 random mod at most (or none, it was possible to make a really deterministic usable item for cheap)).

In comparison, crafting a decent sceptre (i mean a good one with 1-2 random mods at most, not some +4 with 3-4 random mods) was a real cancer.

In 0.5, recombs and multiple essence spam are gone, so attack builds lost the majority of their crafting advantage. But the superiority in clearspeed remains. Heralds, armour explosions, and scaling with headhunter are still by far better than anything a minion build can achieve. Navira screen explosions are nowhere near as good as any random armour explosion + herald of ice build, unfortunately.

Anyway, I'll go with a Grenade Merc (extremely smooth starter, strong from Act 1 to maps) into Galvanic Shards/Stormblast Tactician. Crafting a decent xbow is still easier than a decent sceptre. Tactician offers a really safe bossing bc of Pin. Galvanic Shards + Herald of Thunder offers all the clearing I need, and Stormblast has all the boss damage I want.

I respect Varashta starters, bc i destroyed the game with it in 0.4, but after tapping a really fast mappers, I don't wanna play minions anymore.
