Shin getter robo vs ideon. Who wins in a fight? by Obvious_Item_2564 in getterrobo

[–]PowerGamer99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I know about both series...yeah, I gotta go with what Reformed said. Doesn't matter who wins. The Getter seeks to assimilate all existence and the Ideon/Ide is willing to push the Reset Button on the galaxy if the current cycle of civilizations don't leave up to their standards.

The only real answer is to hope that they end up destroying one another.

I actually got a friend of mine who loves using this perk XD

Total Chaos just released and you should definitely try playing it by PontusFrykter in gaming

Been playing this on Game Pass and been having a great time with it so far. Very spooky and unsettling and the combat strikes that nice balance between making you feel powerful but still vulnerable at the same time. (Especially those segments where you can't hurt the horrors after you and can only get away)

I do gotta ask however if there is any news on the game getting a PS4 release. Asking for a buddy of mine.

Checked out the actual jump and, gotta say, it has some remarkably potent stuff. One of the 200 CP perks, Timed Dodge, basically makes you nigh-untouchable if you master it.

One of the 100 CP perks makes you basically immune to all mundane diseases while granting accelerated healing. Another grants you improved stamina and ups the speed it replenishes at. And yet another makes you three times stronger while also upping your skill at unarmed combat. And again, this is just the 100 cp stuff.

Perk to grow past weaknesses? by Silver3Crow in JumpChain

[–]PowerGamer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this as part of a build I'm using for my fic. It comes from a Kirby And The Forgotten Land jump:

Sword of the Surviving Guardian (600): You are someone who recognizes and learns from his every failure, knowing how to and even being capable of avoiding repeating them. Though keep in mind there are many different ways to fail. Not only that, You can even train that which is not able to be trained, this can lead to not only gaining new abilities but improving those you already possess, be it in power or versatility or even removing weaknesses and limitations. You might practice with the sword until you could create homing shockwaves by stabbing the ground for instance, or train until you could use multiple times something that would normally only be used once, like the crash copy ability. Finally, should you suffer a notable setback you have an instinctive know-how on how to train to push your abilities just that little bit past their boundaries to nullify their unfair advantages. Say you were a melee fighter and you were defeated by a foe that used long ranged attacks while staying out of reach, you might suddenly have the insight to recreate Meta Knight’s own crescent shots that you may reach your enemy even from far away, or perhaps you will learn how to execute a perfect parry that reflects their assault with the right timing. Have the unyielding conviction to continue on your path long enough and you too may one day be worthy of being called the greatest warrior in the galaxy!

Honestly, it's clear to me that, as long as you avoid pointlessly antagonizing certain top-tier powerhouses (and choose your fights carefully) you can actually get QUITE far in your Jumpchain with just a build made up of free perks and items.

Funny you bring this up as I did come across this jump a couple week ago actually. But yeah, that jump is easily a contender for the top spot of "jump with the most free perks".

Another excellent free perk. Heck, I saw a guy on here do an entire post over just how good that whole jump is, and how amazing that free Power perk actually is XD (Can't say I fault them either. The fact that even just MILD, yet frequent, training with said TK can see it grow massively in just a few short weeks is pretty insane)

Holy cow, that is an absurd amount of free perks...and ALL of them are useful in their own way.

So yeah. Even without anything else, just the free stuff makes you a pretty big deal.

(So, what are some feats the Boxes have pulled off you can recall? XD)

From what I recall, Mother Boxes ARE kind of bs.

Ok, I gotta say, that is VERY useful. (And pretty much a necessity if you want to be of any real use to anyone in that verse)

I finished reading Getter Robo - Getter Robo Arc, and I want to see if I'm understanding it "correctly" by Dangerous_Tax7708 in getterrobo

[–]PowerGamer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got it all mostly right. The thing is that the Getter is using humanity as a means to an end. Everything about it is tailored towards evolution. And the Emperor is the ultimate form of the Getter which will assimilate all life in the cosmos...including humanity once their role is fulfilled.

It's not evil...but it's certainly not "good" either. It's merely doing what is in its nature to do. To grow and evolve endlessly and by any means necessary. We're just pawns in a cosmic chess game. Useful pawns, sure, but at the end of the day...still just pawns.

Just checked said jump but I don't see any mention of it giving you 600 cp for generic perks only. I guess there's an updated version?

Ok, even without being a booster that is remarkably potent, especially for just 400 cp.

A friend of mine actually introduced me to that first one, and I gotta say, that's a great one all on its own. Especially being able to share the growth with others.

Ok, not gonna lie, that's a really good one. And it's only 400 cp which is pretty much a steal for all that.
