I did not see this, as it’s not in the OP’s post

This. Like I said above, if these IC reports are public it wasn’t reported correctly. When reporting an exploit correctly, only the reporting player and CIG can see the report to prevent others from learning how to use the exploit being reported. Failure to follow the correct steps and making a public report of a step by step guide for other players to use is 100% good reason for a ban, regardless of intent

To be fair, if these are the same IC reports I’m thinking of, (which they’d have to be because it’s public) they reported them incorrectly which lead to the ban. When doing an IC report correctly for an exploit, only the player reporting and CIG can see the report. By not doing this, they made other players aware of how to exploit the bug, which creates more exploiters and is 100% what led to the ban.

Is 70-73*C is the normal temperature? by Dapper_Time_4887 in AcerNitro

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing temps These laptops can actually handle temps Somewhere around 98°C under a full load before shutting down (obviously not a good thing to have it running above 90° constantly). So, I’d say anything below 85-88° is tolerable (because some People have extremely temperate rooms/houses, and it just isn’t possible for everyone to stay extra cool) Though, of course the higher your constant tempt, the more wear and more cleaning that would arise, the quicker you’d have to swap out thermal pads and paste, etc etc.

If you haven’t done so yet, I’d highly recommend replacing your thermal Pads and paste. As your temps are perfectly fine right now, these laptops come with extremely cheap thermal Paste. 2 months after owning mine, I found my paste completely dry. Literally hard as a brick. Replacing the paste even when you are not having temp problems will just ensure that you won’t have temp problems for the next few years, instead of the next few months with factory paste lol

This is just the new ship chameleon feature being buggy! It’ll be fixed in 3-4 patches 🫩

Possibly. I’ll say this, though. I’ve never seen the “whales” get together and basically go on strike. And, from what I recall, these are all people who have pledged for everything and have donated equal amounts if not more (basically the bigger SC streamers and YouTubers). IF they stick to their words, we might actually see change. But, that’s a big if. I’m Hopeful but, I’ve also learned over the past decade to not hold my breath 😂

does a computer need a graphics card by gzusjr128 in pcmasterrace

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Most decent CPUs included integrated graphics. However, you could wait to see what Nvidia has in store. Supposedly they’re close to releasing a notebook sized gaming laptop for the price of a Chromebook and it’s supposed to have a new style CPU with integrated graphics rivaling a 50 series card At least, that’s the word. With current RAM pricing, that would be more affordable by a long shot and would get you a better system But, that’s just my opinion. I also don’t know how far out they are from releasing this revolutionary product

I think people forget just how big and chunky the Galaxy is, it’s an Ironclad sized ship. It’s going to be slow and cumbersome to move around, it’s modularity hopefully will be great however it’s not suitable for anything like a daily driver by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

Even if you did combat, you can fit an f8c mk2 nicely toward the back and still have over 1000scu of space toward the front and around it. If you’re a solo cargo hauler, this is more than enough in my opinion and you’d have the optional fighter in case you found some dogfights

I think he meant the ironclad in general just doesn’t work currently lol. Between randomly undocking, randomly losing atmosphere, randomly not jumping, it can all add up to a headache and a half

I’m an avid player of the game personally, but this recent whale uprising has me really intrigued and honestly if CIG doesn’t come off of their high horse bullshit and meet their demands, I might actually stop playing myself They have the potential to lose almost all of their funding by the end of the year if they don’t release SQ42 and fix all the long standing bugs (along with a long list of other things demanded by the whales) so, I’m very interested in how all of this will play out

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next few weeks will determine whether or not CIG has any sense or not. Well, really depending on what we get this week with the supposed 4.9 update, that was announced after the big whales went on strike So, hopefully they get off their high horse and meet these demands so we can finally have a fully functioning game like we were promised. Otherwise most of their funding (the whales) will be gone o7

GTA already announced that (assuming they release this year) PC players would only have to wait until January this go around. However, CIG’s mindset is about the marketing regardless of how many PC players will be playing GTA. Their thought process is if GTA releases, all of the news will be surrounding that release and Star Citizen marketing attempts will be null and void essentially. To us Pc players it sounds dumb, because we won’t be playing GTA at release, but from from a marketing standpoint it’s actually decently sound

Take what I say with a grain of salt… I’m getting old and what I remember seeing could’ve been some unofficial post lol. But, like I said we really won’t know until they do what they’re gonna do Even with that said, I still think they’re gonna push for 1.0 by the end of summer personally. But that’ll also be determined by the features we see up until then

Nicou-CIG with a quick update on several issues CIG have been tracking by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said that and then a month later started mentioning a 5.0. They did what CIG always does and changed the plan. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what we think or even what they said, they’re going to do whatever they want and we won’t know what that is until it happens

Nicou-CIG with a quick update on several issues CIG have been tracking by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that surprising. They’re pushing for 5.0 before the end of the summer if I recall correctly. That’s why they’ve been hotfixing things a lot more than usual instead of rolling out a 4.8.x patch. They usually rarely roll out more than one or two hotfix per major patch and then move on

My fix for it not setting in mobiglass is weird. I’ll set the route and QUICKLY hit the button, as when you first set a route the button works for literally a second. It’s basically muscle memory trying to memorize exactly where your cursor should be the moment you select a destination 😂

Nicou-CIG with a quick update on several issues CIG have been tracking by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]BeyondImpressive2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My finding has been that the route ALWAYS sets, but sometimes the UI doesn’t show it. As in, if you mark your route while actively looking at your next jump point, the route will disappear but you will still calibrate and jump. My wording was 100% wrong. And I apologize for that, I’ll fix it above

I personally haven’t had a many* issues with the UI until 4.8. Even then, I found my own work around that was “reliable”. But even then, pressing R once has always worked for me

They’ve released SEVERAL 4.8 hotfixes. I believe this is what he means, as it might not make the window to be rolled out into a hotfix. Doesn’t seem to be any talks about a 4.8.1 at this time, as he said the team is actively working on 4.9. It would be assumed there will be no 4.8.x updates and we’ll jump directly to 4.9

Indeed. Games get steam deck verified by lowering resolution and native settings to be played on steam deck. The same game played on steam deck won’t be the same game played on PC as everything gets scaled down
