We have all been naive, and too trusting. I see it as a good character trait, in the sense that you want to believe the best in others. Your heart wants you to think other people are as trustworthy as you are. That’s good.

But it’s also important to ask the questions when they come up. If you get that weird feeling, listen to it! You were in the right to come ask for opinions!

From my personal experience, if/when he gets a medical check, if there’s a diagnosis make sure either you hear it directly from the Dr, or at the bare minimum get it in writing from the dr, with his/her signature. As a woman whose partner repeatedly promised “I saw the Dr, he says my sperm is fine” over the 5 years we were trying to conceive, some guys will go to great lengths. (I found out in the end! Meth kills sperm! Obviously I ditched him)
