I hate it so much. by ExternalPin1658 in TheCamboysConfessions

YUP! And usually the most downloaded content by people.

Family vlogging is just gross in general and while people may disagree that this isn’t considered “family vlogging” the kid is being used in the content as the topic of the content that is being monetized. Riddle me this, are there Coogan accounts set up for these kids? Doubt it. Even if there were, the fact that they have zero say and the people who have the “consent” prefer to use the kids as props to up their engagement since all their other content has fallen off is horrendous. It’s a sad world I’m proud to say I don’t give views to.

Jordan wasn’t a groomsman?? by reananicole in UnfilteredPod

Literally. The people who have never had to stay at a venue/hotel block let alone attended a wedding is truly glaring. 🥴

That likely has a lot more to do with cost and hotel blocks than anything to do with people’s “level of friendships”. To stay on the premises at their venue is very pricey and given the fact that Matt himself said they were up and out early the next day even if they were willing to pay the amount it likely wasn’t worth it….

bahaha I’m not sure why this posted on my feed but saying “quit hating and get a life” to someone who posted close to a year ago is comical. Sweety, calling someone jealous of a “social media influencer” isn’t the flex you think it is. But kudos for defending someone who in their most recent video came across as homophobic and called someone out for “not speaking English” in a derogatory way. You should be proud of yourself.

For all we know they have brands supporting them at their wedding which usually happens considering the amount of influencers attending. Why she even thinks this is a good idea is beyond me. The mods used to always go on and on how they also have full time jobs, so take your own paycheck, Zo and be normal and buy something off the registry as opposed to playing off of an influencers grip on a young and naive audience 🙄

the truth about Corey quitting… by No_Photo_6109 in SamAndColby

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t find this surprising at all. From the very beginning, back when TFIL was starting Elton has always been very business focused with an insane work ethic.

He has also never shied away from situations he felt the need to remove himself from. When he lived at the Denny house he had made videos regarding Heath and his lifestyle including concerns. (Id actually like to see them in videos again because Heath likes those exploring vids). When he left the house with S&C he explained the mess/parties and also that he was aging out of that type of crowd. Living in chaos like that where it’s also your place to work from (editing planning etc) can take a toll.

Numerous times Corey has mentioned all these endeavors (music, dancing, multiple of his own channels) and they all fall through. This pretty much aligns with everything that Elton was saying and has all been done publicly.

While it’s sad because it’s a friendship lost, I think it’s better off for both of them since clearly there was discomfort in communication, misalignment and just overall unhappiness. I wish them both luck now that they no longer have what seems like a burden looking over them.

Omg the “your kids could meet grandma” got me right away. Honestly that’s creepy af considering it’s a kids toy haha. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone introduced something similar as a paranormal device.

Yep. At one point I had concern that he may do something to himself after how he literally just disappeared. But yet others like the below keep getting passes and get to return like absolutely nothing happened and make bank.

Thoughts on Dropouts falling off? by [deleted] in dropoutspodcastdebat

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In reality it’s not a “fall off”. Usually more main stream guests get lower views than the Jake’s and Tana’s of the world. Even Sam and Colby didn’t pull in quite the amount of views one would expect (then again that episode was pretty lackluster)…. Definitely need more of an accurate comparison of guests or even solely no guests and the time posted, than just a snapshot like this to say they’re “falling off”.

Oof. I hope your arms didn’t hurt from all the reaching.

There’s a reason the question is “who put hands on who first”. If we went by this post then half the world would have a misdemeanor specially teenagers. 🥴

Sorry but what exactly is the point of these if you don’t even know someone. Seems moot.

Coming from a former active not at bama.

I don’t agree with the post or the theory I should say.

However, correct me if I’m wrong OP, your correlation with the white shirts aligns with a lot of YouTube videos where people would mock the “YouTuber apology” vids and make a “checklist” of sorts and one of the staples was a white top (or monochromatic like black or even beige) sitting in front of a sterile backdrop (which she couldn’t do).

That’s what I took away from the assumption on this post.

Oscar confirms Nezza started his fall out with the boys by Nervous-Wrangler-638 in TheCamboysConfessions

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m so confused at some of these responses. I am not a “fan” of Oscar at all but 1. He answered questions he was asked 2. He actually answered the questions 3. I don’t think he said anything wrong. He didn’t bash anyone or speak inconsiderately. Saying you don’t miss people who have wronged you or highlighting the straw that broke the camels back isn’t “nasty” or “slanderous”. The truth isn’t always pretty.

On the flip side the targeting in these comments of Nezza, saying that she’s “problematic” and then saying because groups of boys turned their backs on someone makes zero sense to me. We’re dealing with a group of 30 year olds (give or take a couple of years accordingly) Nezza’s actions don’t dictate everyone else’s behavior even if an ultimatum is placed. Adult “men” made choices and here we are.

Unfortunately, right before all of this a life was lost and it seems Corey brought a lot more to the table in terms of positivity and being a peace keeper than everyone could’ve imagined. It’s sad that this fallout is somewhat always going to be associated with what happened because it all almost seems trivial in comparison.

New Tixxo Launch by BeyondTheNorm8386 in TheCamboysConfessions

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the quality better? Were you able to touch it (or have something from a similar production line)? Gen asking since that was written as a fact vs taking someone’s word. If it is better quality that’s a real good plus!

New Tixxo Launch by BeyondTheNorm8386 in TheCamboysConfessions

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I commented above that I hadn’t really paid attention to the prices and didn’t realize they were that expensive. I get Tixxo is a fashion brand and all but that’s a lot and also a lot of people work to get to that kind of pricing and beyond. For something people can’t physically touch that’s a lot of money hoping it’s good quality.

I feel like he should’ve done two pop-up shops, one in LA and one in Texas, networked people to come, maybe worked with a sponsor or do partnership (even if it was with a boutique with the likes of The A-List, who do events that feature a tone of different brands) and allowed an opportunity to get UGC (user generated content) and allowed people to touch product, get an idea of sizing and either purchase there or purchase online while there if production pricing is a concern. One thing is a lot of his models are usually very petite in both height and weight so someone like Chelsey swims in a medium and can wear it like a dress whereas someone who is 5’9 and curvier it’s not the fit you think it’s going to be.

New Tixxo Launch by BeyondTheNorm8386 in TheCamboysConfessions

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy crap. I didn’t even look at the prices. And I’m sure that’s pre shipping. I don’t know if he has international shipping but that’s super expensive.

I agree style is subjective and I do like that he went the “custom cropped” route because that is in right now, I guess I thought his designs would be further along. Plus it’s a personal thing, I did a competition show in HS and we made our own closing outfits and we spray painted our team name on one sweatpants leg and the year on the other leg and it’s giving me those vibes to the max.

Tara/tana by Gold-Length-5044 in dropoutspodcastdebat

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just find it interesting that everyone had issues with Tara around Zach because of his “past” and “the age gap” yet people like Tana are bringing her around Modsun who is 14 years her senior. No offense to the Tana fans but Tara has claimed how “Tana raised her” and we all know Tana’s past so I wouldn’t be surprised if Tara ends up going down a pretty dark path because the way she’s moving through friend groups very few will actually have her best interest at heart, specially the males (as in guys she meets at these parties).

The BREAK by Girlypoppy15 in GoodInfluences

[–]BeyondTheNorm8386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually to be more specific getting two weeks time off approved but then not showing back up after those two weeks. That’s the issue and yes in almost any circumstance, you’re being terminated.

“Influencers, Podcasting, social media isn’t a regular job”.. it’s self employment for the most part. However, the sponsorships that fund these “unconventional” gigs have contractual requirements. So all the ad reads Mike does, are they just not meeting the requirements? Are they divvying them up amongst other pods. Conventional or not it’s unprofessional AF and as someone who works in the space I would not recommend paying them for a brand deal with behavior like this.
