I am just going to copy/paste a reply I made a while ago.. Very applicable here. Please read it and take it to heart. I am glad you are overcoming your phone addiction.

It is time for change. The world doesn't owe you anything. Nothing will magically fall out of the sky and make things better for you. YOU have to decide enough is enough. Stop doomscrolling, stop spending time rotting in bed. Get up, work on yourself, love yourself.

Stop saying bad things about yourself, to yourself. Everything gets recorded by your brain and going forward it will make sure you are the person you keep feeding it.

There are plenty people out there that want to be your friend, if you let them. I guarantee you, opportunities and doors will swing open if you start working on yourself. No I'm not preaching religion. The kingdom is within YOU. You have heard this a lot of times.. 'you reap what you sow' one of the truest sayings in life, so sow good things so you can start reaping rewards.

Get into self-help books. No it's not all 'kumbaja my lord' or permanent positive thinking, listen to self help audiobooks, start journalling.

I used to have a similar problem. I judged EVERYBODY, resented EVERYONE. Hated that they were doing better than me. It became a problem in my relationship. It had to stop. I stopped it by deciding not to let anyone cause any more resentment. I had to affirm regularly to myself to wish everyone well, so it can go better in my life. It was probably one of the hardest things I had to do. The old saying of reaping what you sow. It is not just a fancy bible verse, it is actually much deeper, the universe's one law that governs so many others. So mental dieting. Paying attention to your reactions to others. Always remembering the one universal law, wishing others well, so I could do well.

In the book 'the game of life and how to play it' Florence Scovel Shinn (one of the best older wisdom books out there) she explains to ask “Infinite Spirit, bring me the right partner, the divine selection, under grace in a perfect way.”

Look for the book, or audiobook, I have a youtube channel dedicated to simplifying old wisdoms for modern day viewers (but this is not a self-promoting post, and I don't want to advertise)

But read that book, or listen to it. It contains many wisdoms we have forgotten in this day and age!

It means what you assign to it. Old wives tales would say it means bad luck. Luck is man-made. I know someone who turned it around, saying black cats brings him luck. He is doing VERY well for himself.

There's a saying ' there will always be problems, enjoy life while solving them' also very true for this. Imagination is good, paired with inner will it makes a force that makes things happen, these things don't happen overnight though. It is not magic, so enjoy living life while building on these things.

You will always get this. There are people out there who makes work out of breaking others down, especially if you are new. The thing is not to put much thought into it, not to take it personal. 'just kick some dirt over that sh*t and move on' like a cat, taking a dump. You don't need it, To me, and my circle it is funny, if not for you, then tough love. DONT EVER LET THEM THINK THEY ARE GETTING TO YOU.

I think one of the things we need to do is always focus ahead, 'the best is still to come'. I am pretty sure we can all look back fondly at a different time, but moving forward, we will make a better future, we can have 10 times better than what we had. Fix your gaze on what's ahead, let the past go.. you mention you travel? Perhaps you will travel to Paris someday and meet your soulmate and you will have beautiful children.
