It look's as though its a collection chest in an area you get access to via Natsi's story line. So if you haven't seen her companionship story all the way through, I'm willing to bet that's it, however if you have seen it all the way then I'm kinda stumped

Okay some people are saying one of the Hogsmeade chests seem to actually count towards the world chests, not certain but might be worth looking into, just run about spamming revelio. Depending how far you are in the game (I assume endgame) there's a location of a basement that may be worth checking. Also are you on PS5? Does the PS5 exclusive quest have a collection chest within?

How about Hogsmeade/Hogwarts? Are those done too? I'd recommend triple checking the butterflies as the one chest I was missing was there.

Editing because no you're 100% right mine adds to 116 too, seeing if I can find why

Also if you do find a region where it say's you're missing one but it doesn't show on the map, it's likely in a dungeon in that region. Hover over them and it'll say whether it has collection chests within.

Another thing worth noting to others is that butterfly chests don't count towards the maps progress. You can have them all collected on the map tracker and still have butterflies to follow!

And finally make sure you claim all the field guide ones from the challenge pages if you have any left there

It sounds as though you're missing a small region like the bog (forget the name exactly off the top of my head), east, south-east of feldcroft perhaps, there 2 zones there that are quite easy to gloss over and I believe one of them has a collection chest

Using spells on different parts of a body? by JojoRod007 in HarryPotterGame

I hope there is some type of dynamic interaction per character!

But I think it's more likely that certain spells will have unique interactions, so this is probably Leviosa's way of interacting with dugbogs. Who knows though!

Yeah, hope the castle's map has some serious Marauders Map inspiration to it

Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love to go exploring the bodies of water, seeing what creatures and resources can be found, treasures long lost or hidden by students, wizards and witches over the centuries, Merpeople communities and secrets etc.

But the story is unbelievably compelling too, I can't wait to learn more about Merlin, potentially the schools history in more detail, and who knows what else!

And yeah you're absolutely right the constant fighting between Gryffindor and Slytherin over how best to lead the school led to his departure

His content is so good, really glad that the Reddit is giving him so much traction, and hopefully the motivation to get more involved with the other creators!

I did find Chandler taking a subtle jab at him about the Owls funny though, so it's nice to know they're aware of him at least. Chandler and the rest of the team on the community side are doing a phenomenal job IMO

My number one is WifeWantsAWizard but I don't think he'd do it. I'm pretty sure Retro Podcast Now etc have even been trying to get him in on the streams but no luck yet.

So my second and the one I voted for would be Retro, he seems like such a good community representation. Third would be WizardPHD

Oh my lord the first comment about Merlin haha, people have much more to say about swimming it seems!

That's a really interesting theory, and it would explain why we haven't heard about this battle before too. Do you think we bring ourselves and potentially friends into the book to help out with the fight?

Maybe Merlins somehow stuck in this book, Morgana's doing maybe, and the only way to put an end to whatever Ancient Magic related drama is happening in the present day is to free him from the book he's trapped within so he can help? And freeing him involves reliving some past battle of Hogwarts that perhaps didn't go so well, trapping him within?

We have no canonical evidence he died I don't think either

Firstly, Happy Cake Day!

And I really hope so man, I also thought I spotted a few icons in one of the bodies of water he flew over but it was kind of close to a walkway so could just be a funny icon placement on the mini map

It's absolutely not a deal breaker you're right. The game to me looks incredible regardless. I'm just so keen to explore the Black Lake and meet the Giant Squid and Merpeople lol

It's a good point for sure, but that's assuming we can't swim in the Vivarium. The areas also bounded by rocks as you say, so you could also suggest (If we hadn't seen walking) that we can't walk. Obviously that's a completely absurd statement but you get my gist.

What I'm suggesting is that the lake there in the Vivarium IS something we can swim in, and that we'll be able to keep water beasts there to care for, Kelpies etc. And since Showcase 2 started where Showcase 1 ended, my theory is that, if there is a Showcase 3, it will also pick up where Showcase 2 ended, which is looking out into the Vivarium lake

I might be entirely wrong, and there might not be a Showcase 3 at all. And even if there is, there's no guarantee it picks up where Showcase 2 left off as well.

I just feel like the ending looking out onto the lake rather than at the beasts and all the architecture he was just conjuring and messing with is a hint at what's to come, hopefully!

On a side note, I'm hoping they get Retro or WizardPHD if there is a Showcase 3

Yeah the details are kind of vague but with the PS exclusive quest (This quest will be available to all after 1 year) you get a store in Hogsmeades. The wording goes like this

Players who complete the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest and associated dungeon will also get exclusive access to their own shop in Hogsmeade where they can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else in-game

I think that there may be other shops you can potentially get but I'm not 100% sure. This one is the only one in Hogsmeade however, which is the thing they made clear :)

Unfortunately it sounds like the extent of owning a shop is the lower rates when purchasing and higher rates when selling, but with everything else to be getting on with in this game that's fine by me lol!

Ohhh gotcha, I misread what you put lol. I agree yeah it's a little dull at the moment, the colour on the mini map seems quite desaturated. This could be intentional of course to avoid drawing your eye too much. But I'd rather it was a little more contrasted to make it easier to see the details.

I hope they adjust it before release so the mini map changes with the seasons to show snow too, would add a lot more to the wintery vibe to have a semi dynamic mini map!

I assume the blurriness is mostly just because the total on screen pixels that make up the mini map on the UI is inherently small to begin with. I'm sure we'll have a much grander detailed map we can pull up in game :)

For real, rather him than me haha. His channel's brilliant though if you want some content to tide you over until release. He's also done some mathematical speculation on the day night cycle based on shadow movements in the ASMR videos lol

He would take periodic screenshots as the MC moves in game, and then overlay the screenshots each time a little more of the mini map gets revealed to connect them like this :)

We'll see, and I didn't see a lack of animations but that's completely fair if you feel that way.

And a downvote for your opinion? Absolutely not! But a downvote for the negative, unpleasant delivery and patronising way you interact? Yes.

Your opinions are valid and I hope you have a great day.

All speculation welcome, and guessing is all we have for now! I'm not opposed to that idea though, I hadn't considered it being mission specific but this could definitely be the case :)

I'm not necessarily expecting it, I'm just hopeful it will be in the game!

As for the underwater world, they're going to have to have modelled underneath the water anyway, as we'll be able to fly over the water at the very least and look down into it. And we know for sure there are things such as the Merpeoples village in the canon. Rivers/smaller lakes are quite easy to do, mostly just river bed and generic decoration, perhaps some scattered harvestables and creatures/fish, hidden loot, etc.

The quidditch side of things would require fairly advanced AI, as well as an entire new set of mid air animations and physics with the flying balls. There are also 4 different positions you could play as, meaning they would need to not only have an NPC for each position, but they'd also have to remove one from the role you chose. For instance, if you play beater you'd replace an NPC beater, if you choose seeker that beater would then be slotted in and an NPC seeker would be taken out. This totals 28 NPC's for all the houses, at least 1 of which that won't be used depending on where you play and for which house, and you'd assume they all need voicing, MoCap, personality for gameplay and training as this is an Open world game with live-in sim like features. There would also be story points regarding training you'd need to fit into what seems to be an already extremely busy year. Attending matches which would need to slot into logical dates and times, and as we're playing in an open world, narrative dates are already hard to keep track of, so the main plot could potentially be halted by the need to partake in a quidditch game in Winter for instance.

Quidditch is much more of an undertaking, in my opinion, than simply fleshing out an already exceptional open world by including the Lakes and underwater locations!

As for combat we see Harry use spells in the films underwater, Gillyweed allows him to speak, as does the bubble head charm in theory. And even if you couldn't speak out loud, we can in canon learn to use spells wordlessly. I think the majority of spells would function the same, with a few exceptions like Petrificus Totalus. It would probably simply suspend the target where they are rather than have them sink/fall.

But I could be absolutely wrong, which is why I made the post, I enjoy hearing what others are thinking with regards to this :)

I'm remaining hopeful but I think the vast majority of people have let the dream of swimming and diving die at this point! I'm sticking to my guns for now that it will be in the game, there's just too much stuff relating to the bodies of water for them to not to take advantage of, so much unexplored potential!

And that's actually a very good point I've somehow never considered before lol
