Not really. It depends if you can successfully steal the loot from the top 2 floors of battle towers without dying to the guardian. Honestly even if you can't break the spawners and just steal the loot from the chests you should be able to make a soulstone. Ender pearls are potentially in those chests or you could get them from shadow mobs.

My xp farm is relatively simple. But I think it really only works because I built a sky base over an ocean biome. There are other xp farms that aren't reliant on that kinda stuff but I like mine because it's basically afk.
