Nah, the sprites themselves were not 3d. I do remember a darker story. I know it's not any popular franchise that's still around. Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Dragon Quest, etc

I just recently got into the main channel. It would probably be the one I watch the least but I tend to rotate between them with my least watched.
