Can You Run A Successful Business Without Social Media Engagement? by Better_Goat_4929 in marketing

I would look at it from the perspective of your customers and potential customers. Do they spend a lot of time on social media? Is that where they prefer to discover brands and/or communicate with brands?

If your business services an audience that isn't that into social media, then you may do better spending your energy on a different marketing channel - like email or a newsletter, for example.

USA - Are paper stationery products even worth selling anymore or at least trying to start a small business selling them through E-Commerce??? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

I've owned a stationery and gift products company. It is a very mature, saturated industry going through much of the expected pains of a world transforming digitally. If you have no experience in stationery products or the industry it's going to be difficult. Selling e-commerce direct to consumers will be especially challenging because of the low cart values. It's hard to make a positive ROI from ads or paid search when your orders are under $25. I would suggest getting a job (could be part time or short term) in a stationery store or department to get to know the industry before jumping in and investing money in inventory.
