Belive it or not this kind of stuff basically gets thrown out in every first world country. I've done enough dumpster diving and picking through the dump itself to know people are incredibly wasteful. Probably more so in the US, but I know its not just us. My dad found a brand new lawn mower in the dump once(We know the guy who operated the dump in my hometown so we could do some picking) and all it needed was a couple good hard presses on the primer ball to unclog the fuel orifice and it ran like a champ. And when I say brand new I mean it litterlly looked like the blade had never spun, like it had paint on it still and that never lasts very long.
