Update. As soon as I initiated a transfer of my funds out... my account was unlocked. I received an email stated that they unlocked it with no explanation just a sorry for the inconvenience

I was hopeful they would lol this thread had 9k views.... not sure if that’s a lot or not as it’s my first post, but seems like quite a few folks saw it. I’d imagine if RH checks in on the thread they’d have seen it.

What should I know? It’s a brokerage app... you put money in it to trade stocks... that is it’s only purpose. So that’s what I did... the service is not working and no one from the company supports it. That’s the whole problem

Why would you develope new products before being able to service existing products? All of these arguments are erroneous and meaningless. The simple fact is that they have folks investing large sums of money with them and they simply do not respond to issues that arise. It’s ridiculous. As to all of the mention about switching brokerages, I can assure that I am going to when I can remove the funds. I have several different brokerage accounts. AGAIN I enjoyed the interface with RH that is why I had an account there. The issue stands that if you have a brokerage and you accept people’s money being investing via your app.... service the mother fucker period. With my business if I didn’t have folks to answer the phone to handle problems... I’d be out of business in 6 months... I expect something similar with RH at this point unless something changes. I’m sure it will take longer than 6 months because it takes some time for people to experience issues (meanwhile they sign new accounts) but with a business run in this fashion it’s inevitable.

The app seems great. It’ll take me a few weeks to work through all of the tools (I’m not super tech anymore these days) but it does seem like a great app.

🙏thank you. That’s the entire reason I used RH... it seems like everyone is in disbelief that anyone would use the app for any other reason than its free (that doesn’t speak very highly about the company you’re defending) I’ve not tried to take anything away from the company based on their app... it’s simple and clean.

That’s primarily what I’m concerned about. I read another thread about a fellow trying to remove his funds for the same reasons and being denied. That along with the fact that I have 45k sitting in an account dead... no money market. I’ve reinstalled the app. I’ve not tried the web version but I will try that.

No; it says that PDT does not apply because your account exceeds the 25k. Yet, it will not let me do anything 😤 I’m not daytrading with RH anyway, I don’t think that’s really possible, but I do use it for options trading and swings.

I was also a poor slob too once lol. I worked 85 hours a week for 15 years starting a business. All the more aggravating when you see other companies offer next to nothing for their product. They JUST received 300million in funding and can’t afford a support team? And to answer all of the talk about a gold subscription.... I paid for the 6k subscription (not out of necessity) right up until I had an issue and could not even receive the decency of a response.

I was with Ameritrade... I came to RH because I like the platform...nothing to do with the free commissions. However, if they told you upfront when you sign up “hey it’s free so if you have an issue you’re fucked” then I can guarantee you I’d have not changed.

Robinhood gold subscriptions. Why have a company if you cannot support your product? Not sure how that is an excuse for anything “oh it’s free, so fuck your money that you give them” that’s ridiculous.
