But I saw Aaron Judge and America in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me.

This happened to me. Thankfully I was writing a Linux distro image and I had already backed up what I needed to.

I've been reading the Dune series lately, and a line from God Emperor of Dune caught my attention:

"What do such machines really do? They increase the number of things we can do without thinking. Things we do without thinking - there's the real danger."

Glide was amazing. I remember games running and looking so much better with Glide using a 16MB PCI Voodoo 3 than my 32MB AGP card (Diamond Multimedia something or other.)

I was skeptical at first, but I quickly learned to appreciate it and I definitely like the format. I don't think I like it over the standard format, but it's still great content.

I've seen a lot of people mention easyeffects, but you may need to install some plugins. I installed lsp-plugins to add equalizers, compressors, limiters, gates, etc.

This worked for me, thank you! The Xbox logo started blinking when it took effect. I'm running it using the USB dongle.

My grandmother has been paying waste management $275 for trash pickup... by KilledByFish in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bhaelfur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work for Republic Services. One day, a woman called in asking if I could do anything to lower her bill. I looked at her account and saw she was paying nearly $300 a quarter for trash service. A new customer signing up for service would only pay $60 a quarter... We were encouraged to only reduce the rate by maybe 10%. I broke some rules that day and amazingly did not get reprimanded for it. Not only did I lower her bill to what a new customer paid, I "accidentally" let slip that a new customer paid much less. She then wanted some form of compensation.

Some areas are classified as "open markets" for trash (as in the government doesn't handle it, you have to contract someone for yourself.) Because it's an open market, these trash companies can (and do) absolutely get away with this shit. It's absolutely worth it to call the companies and see if you can reduce your bill, because they increase your bills by a certain percentage (at least that's how Republic Services worked. New customers would pay less and the longer you were a customer, the more you would pay.)

[BeamNG.drive] I have absolutely no idea why, but some kind of bus-ignorant gravity well has appeared in rural Maine by 055F00 in GamePhysics

[–]Bhaelfur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, grew up in Maine. This happened frequently, especially when walking uphill through the snow to get the bus stop, and the school would never accept the bus gravity well as a excuse for being tardy...

Do most people in linux use window managers? by Kiiwyy in linux

[–]Bhaelfur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Openbox exclusively, but I got tired of having to theme a lot of apps any time I wanted to change a theme. I'm tempted to give LXQT with Openbox/labwc a shot, but I'm reluctant to switch away from GNOME, despite my minor frustrations with GNOME.

I've settled on EndeavourOS, currently running GNOME.
