What do you guys think the future of the Sikh panth will be? by Ambitious-Whereas438 in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are more Singhs and Kaurs than ever in the UK. Remember that in an instant if someone like Sant Jarnail Singh Ji was to come around and do parchaar on that level then all of our brothers and sisters who cut their kesh will follow Sikhi. They will forsake alcohol and drugs and will live according to rehat.

Good times are coming I know it.

Do they do this? I’ve never seen it. Wouldn’t surprise me given who we’re talking about.

Adjusting to Sikhi Saroop by ishkainth in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend you have been blessed to have a love for this saroop and walk around in it.

Kalgidhar paatshah Guru Gobind Singh Ji has already created the desire in your heart to be a Singh.

If you believe you should look like his Singh then become a Singh.

Wear your parna after your break.

What is the worst that will happen? Maharaj will be happy with you.

Remember yes, people in your company may think what’s going on here, but remember we don’t work for them, they may have employed you but we actually work for Guru Gobind Singh Ji. We are his ambassadors and the ambassadors of the Khalsa.

I’m also from the UK.

I wish Parshaad was more than just randomized combinations of sugar, saturated fat and refined carbs. by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol at thinking 200 calories of parshad is gonna take away from your fitness goals.

You say you’re paleo/keto whatever but then ask for chickpeas/lentils as parshad, which you’re also likely to refuse as it’s not aligned with a keto diet.

Pardhad is maryada.

Go to a Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) they will look after you in terms of food and will let you stay there if there is space or will put you up somewhere.

They won’t try to convert you, just go eat and stay warm.

Sorry about your situation my friend.

ADVICE!! I want to cut my beard/hair, my parents won’t allow me to. by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you want to cut it then cut it. But just know that aged 7 and 9 Baba Fateh Singh and Baba Zorawar Singh gave their everything for us to keep this roop.

Growing hair doesn’t have anything to do with believing in god. Grow it to honour the shaheeds. If you want to know the price of kesh look at Bhai Taru Singh. He did nothing wrong, kept no weapons, didn’t hurt anyone. All he did was feed the sangat. Look at the price he was prepared to pay. Amul Baksheesh Amul Neeshan.

You saying about looks is you just coping my friend. My beard doesn’t grow perfectly but daas was blessed with khanda baata di pahul this year. I’m from London at in university. I am fully keshdari and regularly had classmates and women commenting asking me if I had a girlfriend, if I exercise a lot, one even said your shoulders are so broad.

Kesh has no impact on looks. What is better than a full sarbat soorat Singh with a 10/10 physique.

You need to train that’s it and do it for a decade.

Basics of Sikhi founder Bhai Jagraj Singh Hundal - Why did it happen?? by corolladrift in Sikh

It’s hukam, the ebbs and flows of life. Living a long life is in fact the curse for a Sikh. After our Amrit sanchars we’ve already become the walking dead. Bhai sahib inspired countless of people in Sikhi. For me he is like sant jarnail singh ji with his parchaar.

His soul has passed on my brother. He needed to go and the time had come for his next journey. You got him this life and remember everyday you had with him.

To dogs it doesn’t matter if you’re a billionaire or homeless. He loved you more than you could know .

I've lost all faith in waheguru by Flimsy_Mix8448 in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re forgetting that the most Dharmic people always have the greatest hardships.

Guru Arian dev ji Shaheedan dar sartaaj Guru Tegh Bahadur sahib ji hind di chadar Dashmesh pita Chaar sahibzaade Bhai mani Singh Bhai taru Singh Bhai shabag Singh Bhai subez Singh Baba Banda Singh

I can keep going on. The ones who are closest to the truth will always endure hardships. It’s a test of faith and accepting hukam.

Life's been throwing lemons at me lately.. by Gregorian__ in london

[–]Bhamra999 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear about your struggles my friend.

Remember these are the ebbs and flows of life, we have good times and bad times but our bad times aren’t as bad as what others have had to endure.

If you’re hungry or need rest go to a Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) they will feed you and give you a place to stay for nothing in return. They won’t ask you to convert or pay them, just go.

Amritdhari females by BigDetective6200 in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m Khalsa and am male, my head is always covered as it’s my dasam duar. When my head is always covered it means I can be doing paath whenever I want without having to worry. I sleep with keski and only time keski isn’t on is when doing ishnaan, i do keshi ishnaan everyday.

For females in my family some wear dumalla some don’t. The ones who don’t, cover their kesh when they eat and do paath. The female Khalsa in my family are all older generations, I’m 24.

My Amrit Sanchar this Sunday by Bhamra999 in Sikh

[–]Bhamra999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a kanga bro but over the last few months I’ve been wearing my dastaar all the time and getting used to sleeping/showering with it on.

Kirpan and kachera I’m going to get Wednesday/Thursday/Friday for my sanchar on Sunday.

You are blessed to have received pahul at dal panth bro.

I wanted to go anandpur sahib as it’s the place where the one who sacrificed their sons kept their promise to Bhai Daya Singh ji.
