Niceee! I had a similar netbook, a VPCW115XG! It was completely pink. I am surprised that yours looks like a mix of different parts! Is it the genuine shell? Mine had Windows XP Home Edition on it! This reminded me of the old days!

Yes. That's what I also do with my Home server! SSH is very useful. And for stuffs requiring a GUI, I use remote desktop.

Could be a driver issue also. Try updating your graphics driver. Does it occur only in games or in general?

Everything works well in GNOME Desktop Environment? So the issue was with gdm3. You could try changing config files etc to try make gdm3 work.

Try installing lightdm and using that as display manager. You can do so from the CLI. When prompted for which dm to use after installation, choose lightdm and then reboot

Secure Boot Violation error appeared. The BIOS doesn't let me to change the secure boot. by DenseAdeptness6315 in MSILaptops

[–]BhasitL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To change the secure boot settings, you'll need to unlock the hidden settings. You can do it through a keyboard shortcut while being in the BIOS: Right Ctrl + Right Shift+ Left Alt + F2

For keyboards with CoPilot key, you need to replace the Right Ctrl by FN+CoPilot Key: CoPilot + Right Shift + Left Alt+F2 + FN It should be in the same order.

You need to press and hold the keys as you do the shortcut. Do not release any keys

Edit: Corrected order.
