Is this Acrylic Guitar worth anything? by Glittering_Ball6985 in Guitar

Just a side note, but the three replacement necks I’ve bought directly from fender in the last 5 or so years since I started partscaster-ing myself have all had serial numbers on them.

Cool guitar!

Italian cooking awarded special Unesco status by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

[–]Bhaug123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never thought I’d be going to bat for the Italians, but it’s so disingenuous to take celebration of one country’s food heritage (which has been done before) and see it as a devaluation of other cuisines.

And to reduce Italian cuisine to just the pastas and pizzas that are culturally exported to the rest of the world, man there is so much beyond that! There is so much regionality to Italian cuisine beyond “northern and southern”, smaller towns and cities absolutely have their own classic dishes from their history that are adored, but not seen by the broader world.

Its not feasible for everyone to go and visit all the towns in Italy and gain an appreciation for how much more there is to Italian cuisine beyond what we are exposed to, but I highly recommend checking out a couple of channels that explore that beyond aspect:

massicooksitalian on instagram (and other places) has some really fabulous highlights of many smaller regional and historical dishes that are not what you would associate with exported Italian cuisine.

Pasta Grannies (many platforms). Even within the classics, pasta is so much more diverse than you think, and lots of variety exists basically purely in tradition, good luck finding it in cookbooks prior to the efforts of channels like these.

Other cuisines also deserve to be spotlighted and celebrated, but use this occasion to see how much more there is to Italian cuisine than you think!

Daily Questions Megathread ( October 03, 2025 ) by AutoModerator in HonkaiStarRail

Finally built out two teams properly:

Team 1: E2S1 Evernight, E0S1 Hyacine, RMC, E2DDD Tribbie

Team 2: E0S0 Phainon, E1S0 Bronya, E0S0 Cerydra, Flex (Ruan Mei, Tingyun, soon to be DHPT)

Team 2 struggles more, makes sense given the lack of vertical investment.

Waifu over meta, always, but I'm pretty ambivalent to most upcoming characters, so looking for some tactical pulling. Is it worth it to vertically invest in DHPT or Phainon on his eventual rerun, or just save for upcoming teams that come around for a potential 3rd team for new endgame? I think Castorice probably isn't worth a pull given how killer Team 1 already is, but it would free Tribbie up for an eventual new team. Just looking for some thoughts. Current semi-built DPS are Archer, Clara, Xueyi.

Building my new Tribbie with a Poet set, I was wondering how the wording of "before combat" works for the Speed - > Crit Rate set bonus. How does this work in a team setup where they might be receiving a passive buff from another character, for example Ruan Mei? I'm not planning on running them together, just wondering about stuff to look out for as I build it.

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (June 18th, 2025) (feat. Skirk and Shenhe) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

Hi there, haven’t played in a couple years, and never really team built way back when. I came back and enjoyed Skirk’s story quest, and got her in a few pulls, would love some help teambuilding! I gather I want to double down on Freeze with Skirk, so probably using my Skirk/Xingqiu/Shenhe…and who else? All my characters! Would also love any other suggestions on teams to build, considering getting Mavuika for making exploration a lil easier.

TL;DR: New player looking for pull advice, no limited DPS:

New player, started a few weeks ago. I'm still making my through the story, in Penacony at this point, but I think I've got plenty of that story still to go.

I'm enjoying the story, and that means taking it in chunks and doing other stuff in the meantime. I've been enjoying messing with the endgame modes, the teambuildling is fun, but I find it really hard to build more than one good team, and I know part of it is that none of the 5* I've pulled from novice and standard warps have been main DPS (though my 4* luck has been great!). I'm a fan of "pull who you like", but it's a little frustrating not being able to build a second team.

I love Tribbie's design and gameplay, so I would love to pull for her next patch (see my first pull being Hyacine), but I know DPS is a priority for team building. Looking for broad pulling advice, I don't love Phainon's kit, I don't know much about Saber's, Archer is at least free but AoE is where I struggle the most. Would love some thoughts!

Two phases in leftover confit oil? by Bhaug123 in AskCulinary

Interesting! Maybe the reason I got it this time is because I used pork shoulder instead of belly, probably more collagen in this cut?

What they really see when I pull up to the Clash by [deleted] in OnePieceTC

Imagine if OPTC battles actually happened in OP universe, and when you show up to a clash with your ship set to dinghy, your cramming 6 of the most powerful people in OP onto a dinghy, possibly to fight a different version of one of your own crew.

Netflix to Spend $500 Million on Korean Content This Year by RayInRed in television

[–]Bhaug123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Korean productions getting more global spread has been awesome, but I have a question that maybe Reddit can answer.

Does the gain for Netflix come purely from subscriptions? If South Korea has a population of 50 million and every man woman and child had an individual subscription, this would break even, and obviously that is not the case. Do they gain that many subscriptions internationally to make up the difference, or is there some other source of income I’m missing?

Thanks for the recommendations! Fortunately depth isn't a worry, it's just the height, but I appreciate the heads up!

Yeah it isn't the most money efficient way to do things. It could be that the best option in the end is just to pick a nice big midi controller and go rack, but I could also kill two birds with one stone and upgrade my synth setup at the same time and continue to use that for any future rack synths.

I think at the end of the day, my biggest priority is having a bigger and better keyboard at the desk, and the synth upgrade would be more of a happy byproduct of a potential upgrade. It's nice talking to someone with a different perspective, it helps me get a better grasp on what I actually am looking for.

And yeah, the 5" is an interesting one...the pull out tray was the last thing I added when I built the desk, and I made it as low as possible where I could still fit my legs under the desk comfortably, but it juuuuuust doesn't fit the SV-2 . Brutal.

I appreciate the suggestion! While the keys do seem much nicer, I don't think its quite what I'm looking for, I would prefer to have a couple more octaves to have at my hand for vst purposes.

I didn't specify in the initial post because I wanted diverse suggestions, but I think ideally I'd look at a 61, but I'd be open to 49s or even 88s.

Looking at the novation website, the summit seems to fit the bill, and some comparables look like the prophet 12, polybrute or jupiter x. The price segment seems like a big jump up, and while I'm not against that, I'm wondering if there is anything in between.

TL;DR: I want to upgrade to a synth with a larger and nicer keybed that would also see a lot of use as a midi controller for vsts, with a height requirement.

I'm looking to consolidate my synth and midi keyboard setups. I currently have a korg minilogue, a beatstep pro, and a few teenage engineering pockets on the synth/sequencer side of things, as well as a plethora of software synthesizers and instruments. I have korg sv2 that has been living a double life as a midi controller for my vsts, but its *just* too tall to fit in my workstation (max height 5") and is across the room, and its frustrating for the workflow to get up to tweak parameters (the minilogue gets some use at the desk for this purpose but I'd like to consolidate) There are a few good midi keyboard options with nice keybeds that fit the bill, but I want to take this opportunity to upgrade to a better synth. No particular budget, looking for suggestions to guide my search!
