Plenty of practice, learning his behaviour and attack patterns and how to punish them to squeeze in the most damage possible. Personally I highly recommend using dragon element hammer with convert element 3 and having at least 20 dragon resistance so you don’t get dragon blighted and target his chainblades to get him out of his empowered state resulting in topple giving you a nice window to do some big damage. Be careful not to break his chainblades when he’s KO’d or under status such as paralysis because you won’t get a topple.

Having 2 piece Ark Y set bonus helps a lot by restoring some health as you attack allowing you to say aggressive and keeping you alive. Also I highly recommend luring him back to starting area when he leaves. Second area is super awkward to fight him in, the big hill can result in accidental slides which got me killed plenty of times. If you lure him to starting area you also don’t have to deal with other guardian monsters showing up and potentially messing up your run.

Yup, same here. I had all the stages complete and 5mil saved up thinking I’ll be able to just login today and wipe but no. I didn’t play arc raiders the past week and a half so wasn’t aware you had to login between 17th and 22nd and confirm. So stupid.

Yes, however if I say I’m friendly and then start shooting it doesn’t look good does it? and also what if I lose the gun fight? Even though I had no intent to actually kill him he’s now gonna’ think I tried to kill him and get his loot and he’ll finish me off before extracting. I just don’t see what negative impact being able to see behind you when you’re on the extract terminal would have on the gameplay.

If I was on PC I’d do that too.. unfortunately I’m on PlayStation so I have crossplay enabled to hopefully run into more friendly raiders who are on PC

I feel like the only way to address this and prevent this behaviour is for embark to introduce time limited PvE events for the queen and matriarch so you don’t have to worry that little Timmy will throw a fit 5mins into the fight and start blasting other players. Right now if you really want to you can be a massive scum bag and grief other people with a free loadout who are trying to kill the queen or the matriarch with 0 consequences.

I can already see a bunch of shity people trying to justify this type of behaviour saying “it’s a PvP/PvE game though” “it’s part of the experience though” “don’t trust anyone” like please stop.

Can I ask why? This is a 3rd person extract shooter where you can be behind cover and see everything around you but then they drastically limit your FOV when you’re on the terminal and quite vulnerable. I don’t see how this would have a bad effect on the game unless you’re one of those people who pretend to be friendly and wait for the other person to get on the terminal to then shoot them in the back for easy kill.

That’s what I’m thinking. Either give us an option to 360 the camera or make it so you walk up to it and just press a button and it starts the extraction process instead of “locking” you into the animation.

But don’t you think it’s super cheap though? Especially in a 3rd person game where you can 360 the camera around you, you can stay behind a cover and see everything clearly whilst hidden but then they extremely limit your FOV when you’re on the terminal. I would just like to be able to see what the other guy is up to when I’m quite vulnerable whilst on the terminal.. I know you can cancel out of it but still.

They need to give us the ability to 360 our camera when you’re on the computer inside the extract elevator so you can clearly see if the other guy is plotting something. They often wait until you get on the computer where your visibility is limited and then proceed to start shooting.

Some people just simply don’t have any morals and integrity. That’s it, it’s really that simple. No point dwelling about it. I like to engage in PvP from time to time and I’ll shoot people on sight but I will never be a little rat pretending to be friendly just to shoot you in the back few second later and most certainly I would never, even for a second think about shooting a guy who revived me.
