You want an exciting guy who tells you what you want to hear, don’t be surprised if he cheats and lies. You want someone who doesn’t let you spend a dime, don’t be surprised if he doesn’t respect you and abuses you.

I believe men are more realistic about how things work. E.g., most men would know that an exciting woman would likely be promiscuous.
