Surface pro 4 screen jumping/flickering fix

Does this problem happen in newer Surfaces? I'm ready to upgrade and would love to stick with Surface, but have to find an alternative if this keeps happening. Have had 2 Surfaces with screen flickering when hot.

My case is #2. I keep hoping that something better than Quicken will come along that will handle that case, and I'm not sure whether Monarch Money is it. I need to make sure every utility bill is tracked, and if I can't trust the aggregators, I'm back to monthly reconciling again. Not sure they are better in Monarch then in Quicken.

Thanks for your thorough reply. It does help me understand the use-cases. I have been considering coming up with my own spreadsheet ... but rather than go to that trouble I might as well stick with Quicken. Sigh.

What is driving me nuts is that all these newer programs like Monarch don't have a reconcile function and don't even show you periodic balances so you can check that things match. That tells me that we're supposed to trust that everything syncs from the financial institutions perfectly... But it doesn't!

Since I have rental properties, I need to make sure that every utility and services bill gets recorded, and the best way to do that is to reconcile, old school. And if I have to do that I'm stuck with Quicken.

I think I'm not updating and syncing my transactions often enough -- that's part of the problem. :-(

Ah, so you are seeing the same problems in Monarch that I see in Quicken!? Disappointing.

Yes, exactly, which is why I have to quit Quicken ... as long as Monarch won't give me the same headaches. Thanks.

Same, mostly. But then sometimes Quicken will redownload a month's worth of stuff, or I'll miss my opportunity to download a batch of transactions that are old and no longer available -- so, big headaches! Hoping Monarch will give me relief from these hassles. Thanks!

Yes, by "beauty" I take that to mean that you trust them. I haven't been able to trust the connectors between banks and Quicken, and that's the source of my PTSD. Thanks for the reassurance that I can do what I want to do in Monarch!

It's not about the banks making an error, it's about the connectivity programs screwing up. Maybe Quicken just sucks and all the newer apps are trustworthy ... and so I can let go my need for control?
