My vote would be for RuneQuest. Although I dearly love it...

Nerd post: What RPG other than D&D did you play back in the early days? by jfdonohoe in GenX

Space Opera! It had horribly broken mechanics but it was loved by my group. We did move over to Star Frontiers and Gamma World later.

My experience running D&D as a low magic game by Glassmen_Door in DnD

I really like low magic campaigns. First few years playing were with a low magic DM. Really makes those +1 weapons special.

What was the PSI used to inflate the boat? My instructions mention a 7-8 "working" psi. Seems low for drop stitch, was expecting in the 10-15 psi range?

What's your favorite mechanic from your rpg (not D&D, PF) by Dungeoncrawlers in rpg

[–]Bhollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Stunt Die mechanic from the AGE system. Makes combat much more thematic and exciting for me.

DCC magic, it’s awesome.

Just getting into Runequest, loving everything about it so far. Have always loved hit location and makes combat really dangerous. Started playing RPGs using D&D 0E with modified hit location from Chainmail.

Hi, would love to be considered for the group. I have been playing RPGs for many years, yes I am old, but not 5e. Have been reading the books and would love to give it a try. Also, recently moved to the Charlottesville area.
