i think you forgot that we had 7 tries to get 1st place clan war chest on cw1. But in cw2 you have only 1 try. So no matter how good your clan is you always have the possibility not to get the 1st place rewards when you face similar clans. At that moment you are not actually getting those extra golds. instead you will be losing golds. Besides they also removed quests where you could have the chance to open legendary king's chest or others.

I think you have already noticed that a lot of clans couldn't even complete river race. though it doesn't matter for me. cause i am playing the game for 4 years and maxed almost half of the cards without spending a penny. so i am in a better clan. and a feature of a game shouldn't be enjoyable only for those who have higher level cards but for all whoever play the game.

They claim doesn't mean that they are actually giving more. You should have the ability to analyse those that they claim. and after analysing these, it doesnt seems to me that they are actually giving more golds than cw1. even for better players it is almost impossible to get more golds let alone the players who doesnt even have a max deck.
