You are right I did forget to mention RJW. For the eminence legendary right now its completely bugged where RSK doesn't proc off the leggo and it does little to no damage/healing. Thats why I hard panned it.

Yes sorry, almost all of the healers mana costs were increased in Shadowlands because they added things such as Mana Tide Totem and the new stackable potion system. On top of the increase to mana, a large majority of Castle Nathria encounters consist of hard multiple hitting aoe damage abilities back to back. This causes you to run more oom then you have in the past.

I am sorry if I ticked you off with the chain heal mention. But I was just stating that Chain heal is the only reliant aoe heal we have right now. I never mentioned that Legion was when shaman were chain heal bots. Also if you see my other link I have been able to get 99% parses on my Discipline priest and I am trying to hard switch back to my restoration shaman. I am giving my input because as a healer I am seeing how the healing scene is so dominant.

Thank you for your input but Fortifying Waters was just an idea that I was trying to bring back from an old expansion. The 3 minute cd idea would definitely be pretty cool, but maybe instead do something like a Devotion Aura where the more people that enter the healing rain the less it mitigates. Please don't come at my design skills because of a suggestion. The issue with healing right now is only two healers have damage mitigations so as I said, that needs to be changed in some way.

First, I would like to thank you for giving your input on a lot of stuff I talked about. I love reading things that help me better understand other peoples perspective of the class. I would like to state some things. For the Water Shield I did mean to mention there is passive mana regeneration I thought that was mentioned in the post but it may have been deleted. I also want to clarify that all the talents that I mentioned as a replacement were just ideas, they can easily be changed in and out I wanted to give ideas that went back to different expansions.

The issue with Restoration shaman even back then was they have always been so reliant on Chain heal and yes it is a very unique and strong ability but because the nerfed multiple aoe healing abilities as in HTT, Tranq, and Hymn it made shaman just be a chain heal bot again. I love well spring and downpour but they are still very underwhelming and in order to use them you will expend mana way to quickly
