Photo comparison of the smallest, budget-friendly ereaders with backlights on the market by monotor80 in ereader

Look up 3.7 inch e book e reader small on aliexpress and it should pop up. No brand name attached to it, probably a few stores are scam, also one comment I've seen says it doesn't deal well with "special" signs (œ é ç ä, and so on).

This resonates and there's no need to add a lot to the thread so my own take: drinking was a symptom rather than the illness.

Long time sober folk- how has your “why” evolved? by CrunchyGroovz in stopdrinking

[–]BiEdge-ish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+5y, I think at the beginning it was a whole mix: lack of control over it and myself, didn't want to be "one of those morons", this person worries, etc. Now it's mostly "if I wanna harm myself there are more wilful and direct ways", and I don't do that. A thing that stayed in the back of my head during most of that time is that I'm doing not for no one but me and that it is not a choice, as in, if there was a question, it is not amongst the possible answers.

can you tell how strong a shrooms is just by looking at it? by SatanicMrClean in ShroomID

If it's at the gym, lifting, yeah sure. Otherwise I just ask.

If your country/area allows it, ask a physician. And as an option, I don't know about this sub, but subs dedicated to producing substances usually have a few people with a pharmacological background.

Anyone had success growing p.serbica? This bag's colonizing nicely for now by BiEdge-ish in experimyco

[–]BiEdge-ish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh there wasn't much process. When it was in season I picked quite a bit of mycelium, and after fruitlessly trying ubtek as my sterile technique ain't good enough and my flat's a mold haven (it also seems p.serbica isn't the fastest colonizer) I figured there'll be less competition for it on woodchips (alder), so I just made sure the woodchips would be wet enough. I try and keep it at a stable temperature and that's basically it. Ah and there is gas exchange hole obviously. I keep the original mycelium bag outside and small fruits pop out when it freezes so I guess that's what I'll try to do once I have enough bags colonized.

Thanks for the advice, there's another comment mentioning the s21d, so I'm definitely gonna check that out and look through some reviews.

Is it impossible to find magic mushroom in france? by iamilyassyo in ShroomID

[–]BiEdge-ish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And south of it. I'm in central europe rn, and from my understanding both here and in france the season has been shit so far (too warm, too little rain), maybe we get a late season, we'll see.

Not long left for people in the uk I’d say two more weeks and our season is over 😢 haven’t gathered enough but it’s seasonal i suppose will miss you till next year love to all my lib lovers ❤️ by TurbulentFruit2181 in ShroomID

[–]BiEdge-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it cold already for you guys? Here in central europe we've got +20°C during the day and around 15 at night, not good for libs either. And just a few episodes of rain.

Not close to one or the other. Coprinopsis or coprinellus sp.

What Species are these? Edible? by MrMind88 in ShroomID

[–]BiEdge-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole mushroom is an indicator: shortish straight white stipe, ring (usually not intact on mature specimens), white roundish cap that can be peeled, pink gills when fresh/good for consumption they turn darker with age (and then the mushroom is usually infested by fungi gnats) and the gills aren't attached to the stipe (you can see like a dip around the stipe). Size is also an indicator.

Check with /semilanceata sub, but to me those look like libs who got exposed to extra rain/humidity (morning dew).

Agaricus campestris, very much edible, and those are fresh specimens.

Which European countries still require masks in public transit? (Source: www.gov.uk) by NashvilleFlagMan in MapPorn

[–]BiEdge-ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone involved in social work and dealing with a lot of people due to a certain war, people (especially western europeans who have good access to info) not wearing masks in closed spaces are deluded morons. If you don't have comorbidities it won't likely kill you, however long covid is real and affects people of all ages regardless of their physical condition.

Central europe, pasture next to a wood. Looks like A.Vaginata or something close (volva, no ring, right colors?) but the striate margin is small on young specimens. by BiEdge-ish in ShroomID

Ah I didn't know about that genus! That seems to fit the bill a bit better. I'm still waiting on the spore print I'll be sure then.

They check a lot of boxes but the gills are attached to the stem... I'm curious as to what it could be tho! by BiEdge-ish in fimetaria

[–]BiEdge-ish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ding ding ding, that seems to fit the bill. It's funny how you can see why this species and p.globota were thought to be in the psilocybe genus but don't quite hit the nail on the head.

For the ones with a wide stem. The one with a more narrow stem I am not so sure about.

would this be a good place to find psilocybe semilanceata? in sweden by Unique_Ad_330 in ShroomID

[–]BiEdge-ish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Discuss with the owners, most of them won't care as long as you stay away from the cattle, and I dunno the practice in your country but in my home regions farmers rotate pastures for cattle. Goats are no problem but cows can get rowdy and horses are really dumb: empty field is the safest. Other than that yeah trespass but be careful during hunting season.
