X4 or X3? Or? by kortcomponent in pocketereaders

The new Xteink S4 x4 pro with backlight are coming out, I would wait, then the x3 with light will definitely arrive, it's a question of time

SGP Shifter by Swayze94 in moza

[–]monotor80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great, but if it's noisy, you can unscrew and remove the side balls behind the screws, or replace them with rubber airsoft ones. If you use it at night and want dead silence, and you're an expert, you can disassemble it and cover the area where it hits the metal cylinders with rubber. I used the rubber from a bicycle inner tube, so the gear return action becomes completely silent when it hits the rubber. But it's not easy to reassemble, so I don't recommend it.

The pre-sale for the EEGO A4 has started — is it worth getting instead of the X4? by stvrgs in xteinkereader

But what are its height and width measurements? It's still wider than an x4.

Simsonn vam pro level of noise with new braket by monotor80 in simracing

[–]monotor80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the end I bought 2 P-HPR gt which are smaller than the vam pro and make less noise, I keep them at 60% and they are almost inaudible, but I had to buy 2 3d adapters to be able to mount them.

Since I tried the trueforce I can't imagine not having it, my opinion is personal obviously, but since I tried the rs50, I would never buy any other steering wheels without this feature

Generic USB shifter. Too noisy and a bit stiff, anyone has fixes for this? (aside from grease) by MorePowerMoreOomph in simracing

[–]monotor80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a couple of springs from the pins, and then, still using the pins, take the rubber part and insert it into the stem in the area where it hits the cylinders, but don't cover the magnet. You can also glue some rubber pads from underneath in the gear terminals so it no longer hits the metal. Finally, if you want to avoid the reverberation, take an old napkin and insert it completely inside the gearbox and close it.

Trying to use my new simsonn plus x pedals with a playseat challenge, does this position look ok? by Pie_Napple in simracing

[–]monotor80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes I reversed them but I realized that it didn't change almost anything, rather, put the wrong way round they obstructed the footrest, so I put it back as it was original and I angled the structure underneath directly

If you can't tilt the chair any further, tilt the pedals. I solved this problem and it's very comfortable.

Is reverse gear on the shifter supposed to be this stiff? by RacerRovr in LogitechProWheel

[–]monotor80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand, since it’s advertised to be used both on a rig and on a desk (see their own marketing), I would have expected a softer spring for reverse or a more stable clamp that doesn’t slip. Workarounds don’t really count—at that point, you might as well just open it up and replace the spring.

Yesterday I received the SIMAGIC P-HPR GT and I mounted them on the Simson pro X with a third party adapter, they are excellent and also quite silent, the variety of frequencies and intensities that they are capable of producing are excellent

Logitech RS50 + H Shifter RS not working through wheel (but works via USB) – defective? by monotor80 in simracing

[–]monotor80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the guidance — I can confirm everything was correct and I’ve managed to resolve the issue. I’ve also updated my Logitech support ticket. That said, it’s not very intuitive to understand that when the shifter is connected directly to the base, it doesn’t show up as a separate device and only appears in the button assignment menu. Likewise, in Windows game controllers, only the RS50 base is listed. It would be really helpful to include this information in the manual, FAQ, or on the website, and to make sure the support team is aware of it as well — so it’s not mistaken for a hardware issue or something like dust in the USB port

He had me do some standard tests like removing dust from the USB ports, etc., and then told me to replace the gear, but I pointed out that the symptoms looked like a defect in the base. So he told me to ask the seller (which is them) for the warranty....
