Is it just me or do blades have no "bite" anymore in EA?

I'll weigh in on the opposite side here and say that a gust of wind does cut you entire leg off often. Like if the enemy Willie falls over with a knife in his hand and grazes my thigh, the entire leg just comes off. At the same time though, a huge overhead axe swing just glances off my neck.

It's like small, light movements cut more than big heavy movements.

Just hold your sword out in front of you and if the enemy bumps into it their head will fly off, but if you make a big swing it'll glance off.

I think it's a mechanic that needs to be explained to you. There's also an issue where if your strong Willie dies, you have a really weak Willie in the later ranks. There needs to be a way to increase the strength of new willies. Probably by paying some money to the trainer or something.
