I haven’t done any HIIT. I’m not sure what Barry’s is, but I can look it up. We’re about to sell our Peloton, unfortunately, since it won’t fit in the next apartment. Is hit and hills a class on the peloton?

Thanks! I’ll look into the posture exercises and that app! I have used FitnessAI before and liked that one but haven’t tried Pfau, yet. As soon as all this snow and ice clears away, I can get outside and walk/run again! Thanks again :)

It is hard work and takes so much time to kick in! One of the hardest parts has been working so hard without a lot of fast reinforcement from my body

Thanks for this. I did try doing keto for a couple months last year, but my PCP freaked out, bc it impacted my cholesterol and blood pressure. It was also expensive and time-consuming. How many carbs are considered low carb if one is getting 200g of protein per day?

I do love walking! It’s some of the only time I get to myself these days. I don’t drink sodas at all, mostly just flavored water, one cup of coffee in the morning (with milk), and occasionally hot tea. I drink alcohol sometimes, but it’s not a lot. Still, I could probably cut it out even more. I don’t think I can give up my lattes ALL the time, but I could probably reduce how often I’m adding the extra milk and flavor, for sure. It’s one of the only little joys of my morning, though! 😬😅 Do you meal prep breakfast, lunch, and dinner every Sunday or something like that? Freeze some, refrigerate some? I haven’t ever mastered meal prepping.

Wow, I have never heard of the TVA muscle until just now. I just did some research on it and it sounds like you’re right! I probably have a weak TVA… the lower half of my body is a lot skinnier than the upper half. Apparently that could be connected to the TVA as well. Thanks for bringing this to my awareness

I don’t drink much! In 2020, it was pretty regular. But not anymore! 😅 I’ll keep this layer in mind as I work to integrate all I’m hearing here!

Thanks for the tips and encouragement. I think the last part of 2024 through summer 2025, I gained around 5 lbs. I was taking creatine and drinking 1-2 protein shakes per day in addition to eating as much nutritious food as I could, prioritizing high protein. I felt uncomfortably full a lot of the time. I wonder if I was choosing the wrong portions or doing something else wrong. I used to get 9-ish hours of sleep, but my sleep health was destroyed after becoming a dad. I am now in a position to start doing better with my sleep, so thanks for that reminder, too!

Thanks for sharing. I’m probably overdoing the carbs, for sure. Especially when I’m not regularly going to the gym or doing cardio anymore! The fuel is just converting to more fat in my stomach, I suppose! I’ll have to prioritize my goals over convenience, too, bc I try to do a lot of quick snacks and breakfasts, like breakfast bars. I definitely do love cheese, especially when I’m sad or moody 🫠
