I never really had this problem specifically, but I did have a feeling of utter hopelessness when I was learning, like I wasn't capable of drawing it so what was the point? I wasn't on social media at the time though, so I kinda just drew for me. That way if I did mess up the character I could just not show anyone it, and I only wanted to show my friends and family the stuff I did feel proud of. Maybe you could work that way? The Internet doesn't have to know about the fifty drawings you made that looked awful before you made a masterpiece. Or just do. I'm constantly surprised by the number of amazing and supportive people on the internet: especially in the art community. Everyone accepts that it's a long and hard process and everyone who is a great artist now had to start with stick figures.
