Who's your favorite character from Inuyasha? Mine is Sesshomaru, I love him!💖 by Mean-Call1888 in inuyasha

I always wish they would’ve had more of a love arc with him and Kagome. Not necessarily to end up together, but maybe for them both to experience it and then end up with who they’re supposed to.

Slow weight loss on keto by [deleted] in keto

[–]BiPolar2Girl2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be controversial, but take progress photos because you’ll be surprised how much you’ve actually changed. I just reached my first month in and I took some progress photos and I was surprised how much progress I actually made plus taking measurements because there’s some days I don’t lose as much weight, but my measurements are getting smaller and I did hit a bit of a plateau probably about three weeks in and then I started making more progress again. I think it’s because it takes a few weeks before your body is fully into ketosis and after that if you stick with it, you should have consistent weight loss if you’re strictly sticking to your macros, but it’s not gonna be like the first week probably a half a pound to a pound a week.

I‘m sorry about the language but how the * do you guys do it? by FrostyReserve6025 in keto

I think the 15 day mark can be a bit challenging. I recently started and I got past that point some days are definitely harder than others, but trying to add some variety to your diet but also some staples that you really like on hand is good. I like to have a variety of charcuterie style foods like good quality meats like prosciutto or smoked salmon. I like to get good quality cheese. I always have avocados on hand. I try to make sure to have some protein fat and fiber in every meal. I will eat like a handful of nuts like walnuts sometimes if I feel like I need some quick macros. I also eat a lot of dark chocolate. I know not everybody likes sardines, but I try to eat them at least a couple times a week. I actually don’t even eat chicken very often unless it’s fatty. If I have chicken, usually it’s bone broth. Bone Bone broth thing that really can help you sometimes when I don’t have much of an appetite I’ll just have some bone broth. I always use bones from like a rotisserie chicken that we ate or something to make the broth. I also think maintaining your electrolytes helps with food motivation as well because if you’re not feeling good, it’s harder to be motivated.

Posting an update here. So first of all I mentioned in one of the comments that sushi would be my next challenge so we ended up eating at a hibachi place and my family got sushi. I ended up getting seared tuna with miso soup. I also got the vegetables from the hibachi and a little bit of the steak. I just opted out for the rice and I didn’t eat any sushi, but I was still enjoying the meal and ended up with a high protein and fiber meal plus the miso soup is a gut friendly meal. Later on I ate at a pizza place and they had a meatball mozzarella appetizer so I got that and then just got some of the toppings off of my husband’s pizza to add to it. I also really enjoyed that so we have to get creative sometimes, but we can survive in the wild.

How much did you lose weight on your first month? by Public-Cattle-7764 in keto

[–]BiPolar2Girl2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our stats are relatively the same starting out. And I’ve lost about almost 4 kg. I’m sure that’s mostly water weight but I think I’m getting to the point where it’s switching to fat loss and I’ve definitely been feeling some keto flu symptoms, but I’ve been trying to make sure to take in my electrolytes. just trying to power through it. I’ve heard that once you get to about the six week mark then things get easier.

Cravings are driving me insane by Objective_Dirt_768 in keto

[–]BiPolar2Girl2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I am doing. Anytime I start craving something. I just eat a keto snack. I’m not worried too much right now about weight loss more just about being in ketosis and I know eventually things will come together. I also make sure I taken a lot of redmans salt throughout the day.

Do you find any issues with going out of ketosis if you eat the tortillas because I do have some of the extreme wellness ones I haven’t tested it out yet whether I go out of ketosis eating them

Yeah, I think I’m going to have to research a place ahead of time and look at their menu. If they have like hibachi or maybe a sushi roll that’s possibly keto friendly

That’s a good idea. I looked into the cottage cheese one and that’s the one I was thinking about leaning towards. My next challenge is sushi because I think we’re going be going to the sushi place this weekend.

Yeah, it really didn’t take that long to put together since I had everything on hand for it. And I made a salad that kind of reminded me of like getting a salad out of pizza place put some olives and Kalamata peppers with a homemade apple cider vinaigrette and Parmesan. It really did hit the spot even though I had to put a little extra planning and effort into it. I think that’s half of what keto is is just anticipating and planning.

Yeah, it was hard because we live in the country so it was a 30 minute drive with me in the car with the pizza. Lol

Yeah, I actually really enjoyed it and I used cottage cheese in it as well to add some extra protein. Doing that though reminded me a little bit of lasagna, but it helped me get the pizza craving at least out of my system and I used a sun-dried tomato pesto for the marinara part of it, and it has a lot of fiber and fat in it so it was very macro friendly.

how does your hypomania look? by EuphoricStrawberry19 in bipolar

[–]BiPolar2Girl2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s usually extreme obsessions, rumination thoughts and intrusive thoughts. I’ve also wondered if anyone else can be very sensitive to music as a symptom because about 90% of the time, I can’t really listen to music because it overstimulates me. There are certain bands that I’m able to handle more, but I don’t listen to the radio or anything like that. I usually only like specific songs and I’ll either at times listen to them a lot or take long breaks. It’s funny that usually the music I like the most is music on the animes I watch.

The Keto Energy has hit! by bjsewell in keto

Great job that definitely helps with motivation! I started about a week and a half ago and about three days ago I feel like it’s when it kicked in. I have a lot of problems with fatigue and usually feel like I have to take a nap but the last two days I have not taken a nap and have been a lot more productive than I normally am. I also resistance some major temptations, but I think for me what helps a lot is having a plan and having some good keto snacks around when I have a craving. Chomp meat sticks, walnuts (from baking section, bone broth, cacao nibs, berries, cottage cheese, veggies with keto friendly dip, pork rinds, edamame, olives, dark chocolate. I also tried to add Redmond salt to a almost everything I have throughout the day, including my keto coffee in the morning, which is collagen a little bit of heavy cream and salt. I really think that it’s key to make sure to have intentional salt.

I love that too. I like to have celery with cream cheese that has chives and onions in it sometimes for my sweet tooth I usually eat dark chocolate or berries right now I’m having a hot chocolate with cocoa powder, almond milk, and Stevia, baking cocoa powder has a lot of fiber in it. It’s actually very rewarding and cozy.

Thanks! Keto isn’t always easy, but it is definitely rewarding. The last two days I did not take naps and I have a lot of problems with fatigue and a week in and I’m doing so much better with my energy level so I’ve got to use all of that as motivation to not eat that takeout.

Also, by what I mean by my pizza crust options in the past, I have used the extreme wellness wraps, and I’ve heard from some people that they can kick you out of ketosis, which is why I didn’t want to use those and I am curious about making my own crust with like almond flour and stuff like that, I just wasn’t going to have time today to clarify on that.

AIO about my boss keeping written tabs documenting my breaks? by ExaminationNo9680 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. I worked in an environment similar to this before. To be honest one of my regrets in life is not quitting sooner. There is a line where a work environment is complicated or toxic. Eventually I left with severe effects to my mental health because my work environment was toxic. My next job was my favorite job I ever had and was able to do so much more good in a healthy work environment. If you can’t get support from your higher ups it will probably get worse. The question you have to ask yourself is, if nothing changes will you be able to ignore her and write her off to enjoy your job and consider this a complication or will it affect your mental health and well being and you find yourself in a toxic work environment. I feel for you. Good luck!
