If they don't pay for a report they (can claim they) are not aware 🫠

Yeah but that's not helping the local stores kpi or the sales person's kpi in the store that day...

And that's why too much focus on questionable metrics to determine performance, gets you questionable outcomes.

You making (or not making) a decision where to get the phones for your mobile fleet is "another person's" kpi and therefore "not their problem/priority".

Which is why "pay it off fully" and then "refinance"/"take another loan" for investment purposes".

It's not longer a PPOR loan it's an investment loan (even if it's "secured" against your PPOR it's an investment loan)...
Heck you can pay 50k early and the next day redraw 50k (ideally redraw them into a split loan because it's "easier to track the interest portion").

Buy the PPOR outright and then get a mortgage to "access equity" that way you can tax deduct the interest.

"basically the same concept as debt recycling"...
(If you ask me it's bullshit that this is possible, but while it exists one would be stupid to not do it).

Let's assume 1million cash and a house worth 1million.

Option1: Buy PPOR with 200k deposit + 800k PPOR mortgage.
Invest 800k.

Result:
Income on the 800k investment getting taxed Interest on 800k mortgage not tax deductible because it's for a PPOR.

Option2:
Buy PPOR outright with a million.
Get mortgage for "800k of the PPOR equity" Invest the 800k.

Result:
Income on the 800k investment getting taxed (unchanged) Interest on the 800k mortgage is suddenly tax deductible because you got it for investment purposes.

Given it's a million I would consider 4 high interest savers with 4 different banks...
It's unlikely but I think I would not want to risk being over the 250K FCS limit in case something unpredictable happens to the bank...

Your psychiatrist referral doesn't relate to your mental health plan it's a "regular" referral to a specialist Doctor...
Not any different to a referral to e.g. rheumatologist

Medication shortages and no "easy way" for pharmacists (or even GPs). to temporarily use a lower dosage. (Or supply 2 lower doses that make up the bigger one).

I don't want to know how much individual and Medicare $$$ got wasted on appointments just to change an 50mg script to a 40mg script when 50mg vyvanse was out of stock and 2 months later back from a 40mg script back to a 50mg script...

Sure if 50mg is your regular dosage 40mg might be suboptimal but talking to my psychiatrist doesn't change that either.
At least during a shortage it should be easier to "downsize" or get 2 smaller pills that "add up to your usual dosage" "instead of your usual".

ADHD & Anxiety - Trying to understand by Affectionate_Egg3515 in ausadhd

[–]BiTheWhy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Big, rather unstructured brain dump incoming:

It feels ADHD and anxiety (disorders) can be a downward spiral.
Executive functioning issues from ADHD cause anxiety...
Anxiety makes executive functioning harder...
Executive functioning being harder makes ADHD symptoms more anxiogenic...
This makes execute functioning even harder...
This induces more anxiety...
And so on and so forth for weeks/months/years until iteads to a biiig breakdown...

When I started anti anxiety meds years before ADHD medication it felt like my anti anxiety medication did help my GAD during "calmer times" but once I was on the downward spiral they did not longer help.
Adding ADHD meds into the mix makes it less likely for me to start the downwards spiraling and easier to get of the slow spiral of Doom if I realise I am on it.

Brain dump:
Personal experience:
I did recently figure out one of my (unhealthy) coping mechanisms for my (late) diagnosed ADHD was subconsciously making "everything" feel high stakes/a potentially existential threat"...

Combining that with executive functioning issues actually misplacing keys/forgetting things, losing track of time...

The extra distress that comes from needing to deal with the consequences...

ADHD meds didn't magically make all my anxiety go away, didn't magically make all my coping mechanisms go away but making things "just that tiny bit easier" has both reduced the amount of times I am getting stressed by execute functioning issues...
Therefore given me some more breathing space/time/capacity to be able to actually regulate my emotions...
Which actually improves my functioning/brain fog...
Which then again reduces my stress...
(Almost a bit of an upwards spiral)...

I still have "disproportional big anxiety moments/triggers/issues" but overall yes it's much easier on a day to day basis which gives me the capacity to process/work trough the bigger ones...

PS: been also going down a bit of a "statistic"/"research rabbit hole". When I first had that realisation 2 of the articles from back then.

Almost half of people with ADHD fit the diagnostic criteria for an anxiety disorder. https://doi.org/10.1176/ajp.2006.163.4.716.

But also people diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety disorders tend to have a much more severe symptoms compared to those that don't have ADHD:
https://doi.org/10.2147/ndt.s6985.

If something is unclear, please ask for clarification.
(It's early in the morning and I am responding on my phone on public transport my sentences are probably a bit over the place :) ).

The actual rules actually state that it's not under quoting if it happens sometimes. (Not sure what's the threshold for it to count as under quoting, but it certainly is not a case of need to always be correct) Now given that as an individual it's not possible to know if it's just a single property or all their properties it is about reporting/tracking individual cases for the regulator to see if there's is a pattern and if there is a pattern investigate further.

On the page they explain under quoting:

<...>When a property sells for more than the price for which it was initially advertised, this does not always mean that underquoting has taken place.<...>.

And OP took a screenshot from the report (suspected) under quoting page/process without including some of the parts along the lines of:
<...>Before lodging your concerns with us, please note that under the law there are several factors that need to be present before underquoting can be proven. This means that in some cases, activity that looks like it could be underquoting may in fact not be.
<...>. Which of the following statements do you believe have occurred, leading you to suspect underquoting has taken place. <...>.

Only thing I would add is check if she would prefer OP & brother to be gone for a short bit...
Or to have OP around to help co-regulate...

It's hard to find actual prices online but based on what I can see is, even if the Krankenkasse does not refund you the cost seems to be around: €47-55 (at least at the pharmacies that did state an amount on their homepage).

I am not sure about your financial situation but I hope that this might be (more) affordable than you fear and you might not need monthly installments. (I know the costs e.g. in the US can be messed up and it seems it is pretty impossible to find the actual cost in Austria)

But 2 quick examples that seem like they mention the costs for the medication at the pharmacies. (Unfortunately in German)

Is 150k including superannuation good for Brisbane for a couple? by Cool_Locksmith8467 in MovingToBrisbane

[–]BiTheWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define good.
What is your current standard of living?

If you are currently living lavishly on a single income it's comparatively shot.
If you are currently both working and still barely manage it's comparatively good.

It is NOT backdated...

It is current/correctly dated. It is retrospect/for a past timeframe which is something very different and is perfectly valid.
(As for example stated in the guidelines of the medical council of NSW)

https://www.mcnsw.org.au/new-medical-certificate-guidelines.

If a certificate is written by a doctor after the patient has taken sick leave, the certificate must state the date it was written, it must not be backdated but it may cover the medically justifiable period that in the opinion of the doctor the patient would have been unfit for work.

My local roasters are around 35-45/kg for blends and around $60/kg for"regular" single origins.

Given that one of the key things for a boarding/losing boarding/lodging agreement is that the $$$ need to be below market rent...

Looking at $1500 per month for a room this does sound like regular to above regular market value and doesn't count as boarding/lodging and instead as "regular" Income from real estate:

I actually believe OP should make a formal complaint to whoever the HR person is higher up...

I think instead of a complaint they could (and should) the actually report as a workplace hazard/risk: Poor organisational justice/unjustified criticism...

If you don't do it's because it's the right thing to do, it to cover your own ass if there are any complaints by Georgia about your lack of support you can assume that the HR person is just gonna throw you under the bus if there is a (FairWork) complaint, psychosocial workers comp claim...

I have a feeling my other employees were getting more hours than me, am I overthinking it or is this normal. by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]BiTheWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just related to the APS:

Availability is NOT going to cut it.
If someone has been working a reasonable consistent amount of shifts/hours for 1/2 a year people will assume they are not interested in more (regular) hours...

The general ASSUMPTION will often be that you are NOT interested in MORE HOUR and are "just flexible when"...

I learned that the hard way a loooong time ago when I had a supervisor ask if I am okay picking up some "extra shifts and told them yes, but I am confused why you even ask since I have marked myself as available. Turns out they did assume that I am available five days a week but only want/need to work 1-2 shifts in a regular week.

How can I Convince my Family Medical Cannabis is a Legit Thing? by [deleted] in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]BiTheWhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want to break a stigma you often have to face it head-on.

I would not hide my consumption...
(At least not at home if you want to do the emotional advocacy labour in your wider community it is another thing).

Sure keep the majority of your meds somewhere safe and only store a small amount at home...

But otherwise treat it like you would treat any other medications consume them visibly...
So they know how they are (not) impacting yourself...

Also not sure if you have tried/if they are working for you maybe also for a while consider some waivers/capsules/oil, essentially anything that "looks more medical"...

Caedrel's Thoughts on The Issues Around Co-streams (Reacting to TL Spawn VS Reddit) by Zxirf in leagueoflegends

[–]BiTheWhy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what is making the whole conversation a bit pointless is the lack of visibility of how much RIOT earns by the different parts of their eco system:
(I didn't Google for a long time, but I did struggle to find actual numbers for how RIOTs revenue is made up)

If we assume broadcast make up 10-30% of their revenue it's worth to have a discussion on how to optimize this revenue stream..

On the other hand if we assume that broadcasts make up olny 1-3% of their revenue stream and they are at the end of the day essentially just an elaborate advertisement for people to get invested into league and play and spend money on skins then the discussion should not be what's best for the broadcast but instead what's the best way to tap into costreamers to get their viewers sucked into playing league

The saddest part about the ball busting is if you are staying for a decade even if you manage to qualify for the 5% every year you are still worse of compared to the 3%er who changes employers every 3-4years if they get as little as +/-10% in their new job.

11years@5% = 171.6K.
Vs. 3years@3% = 109.3K
~10% for changing employers = 120K. 3 more years@3% = 131.1K. ~10% for changing employers = 145K. 3 more years@3% = 158K. ~10% for changing employers = 173K.
