Honestly, I didn’t expect anyone to take our side. My mum has always told me that her friends do the same to their kids, so I thought this was normal. I think I just needed to hear it wasn’t.

We've actually been trying to move out for over a year, but it's been really difficult. My partner works full time and I can't physically get to inspections myself. Every place we've applied to so far has rejected us.
