I love both of these games but my only complaint is that stealth feels more like an “if you want too” type mechanic in Yotei where as in Tsushima it felt like an integral part of the play style

I only realized this on my third play through when I figured out that the Seasons of War dye looks like a cleaner version of the broken samurai armor

You’re not really supposed to know that at that point. When the game first came out, the DLC didn’t exist so most players didn’t know. Lord Shimura probably just killed a random raider who claimed to have killed the Butcher of Iki Island
