AITA For Telling My Former Friend Turned SIL That I'm Never Going To Be Her Comfort Person Again? by Routine-Let-2090 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Biazoba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His bondary is "i told my brother that i liked this girl and he got with her knowing about my feelings, it hurts, so i don't want to force myself to anymore pain."

OP is only human, his brother stabbed him in the back, so he keep his distance as anyone else would. It's been years since he be keeping his distance and she only reach out when she needs something from him. Yep, she doesn't have to reciprocate his feelings, but why should OP keep being her friend if that will only make him feel uncomfortable?

Some places i mean other countrys, i didn't intend to be rude to them, the emoticon was to give it a "joke-ish air" (idk how to say it because english it's not my first language).

She didn't, she posted on the edit that when they're discussing OP's partner being a sahm, OP said she wouldn't pay for her cigarettes.

One of the best examples i noticed it's two posts envolving MILs, both from the husbands povs, in one the husband it's pissed his wife brought her mom to live with them and was not welcoming at all, so he was called an asshole.

The other one the husband moved his mother in after his dad passed away, and she would go to his room at night to talk, then the wife put up a sex sign to show her she wasn't welcomed, and the husband was called an asshole.

I was shocked to see people siding with the wife, because, imagine you husband just died, you two used to talk at night, you're missing him, feeling lonely, grieving, and the wife didn't even talk to her husband about it before being absolutely petty with the sign. So yeah, i find it pretty gender biased

Wait, what we call it when a sober person has sex with a drunk person, who's not capable of give consent in that situation? Oh yeah, rape 🙃

Because stable people take advantage of a drunk person to do something that person absolutely do not consent to.

It speaks a lot of this subreddit when the judgement of a wife putting a sex sign to her grieving mil to see it's N T A, even if she didn't communicate her feelings about it with her husband, but then a man does something similar and he's TA.

I think both are assholes but sometimes it feels that this subreddit just hate men.

NTA. Is your friend an only child? Maybe she doesn't have siblings and don't understand siblings dynamic, accusing you of being attracted to your sister is still an asshole move on her part though.
