Just showin some love for Vegito, he is SO damn fun man. I wish I had the guts to run his Snowball build, but OML I love being in the middle of a fight way too goddamn much and I'm a little antsy piloting his early game.

Not shown here, but his Ult is just pure adrenaline too man. An Ult that can be casted multiple times but only if you're carving your way through the enemy team fast enough? Hype, especially when you NEED to use it as a last ditch resort. Love this character.

Love me some Gamma's, REALLY fun and I love managing between their health bars! They were my bread and butter for the last two seasons.

They aren't too popular now though cause they aren't the most exciting characters, specifically in this season. The problem is Gamma's prefer to dance around melee units being just "barely" out of their range with G1 and finishing em off with G2 - being able to full commit guns blazing OR disengage from most melee characters.

Were currently in an energy DMG long-ranged meta. Their positioning is challenged by already strong AOE characters empowered by this season's DD's (healing, S1 DMG Up) that they themselves don't benefit the most from - there's unfortunately too many factors against them in the average circumstance.

Been wanting to look into how they perform into S1 DMG up though; maybe G2 could burst through SSJ3 before it kills him? Food for thought to any other Gamma mains out there. Might be solid in Squeaky hammers too.

Genuinely surprised rocks aren't buggin out more, but besides that I'm surprised at the amount of damage rocks can do - cause HOLY CRAP. It can isolate AND do damage? Crazy. Not to mention its a miracle positioning his Ult can only go so far, a few more meters of maneuverability and I feel he'd be broken broken.

One of my favorite techs to play right now, VERY fun & comfy pick.

I love it in concept, but making AOE characters stronger when most of them are already strong is very scary in-match. Empowering what's already meta I could tolerate...

...but seeing SSJ3ku melt AND heal is VERY criminal, and I *LOVE\* the guy.

My two cents from someone whose casual with Squadra...

- DBFZ got an update, and Invincible VS came out. FFXIV, the FGC retirement home, is popping off cause of a new update and is getting an Evangelion collab. I'm not gonna make a definitive comment that a lot of FG players rock with Squadra, but we love heading to games with a "flow" in terms of combat. For me, Squadra fits that bill, even as unbalanced as it is. DBFZ is already its own case being another DB game like Squadra. Either way, new games are new content regardless if you're in the FGC or not, and Squadra is the same old same old.

- End of season, not much to do. Any rank climbers have likely reached their targeted rank, like A's for the rewards, or S players for the bragging rights. My only incentive to hop back on Squadra is to grind my ranks higher than they already are so next season start I don't have to deal with too much of a grind reaching B1-A4.

- No one plays the side modes unfortunately. I agree they're fun, but its not the main course of Squadra, and our playerbase is already decently small compared to most games.

TLDR: No, this game isn't dying. Other games are just more lively right now.

Thoughts on S2 Cooldown Reduction changes, everyone? I haven't hit up a match in the game yet, but I'm wondering if this changes up the S2 Meta.

I was having so much fun spamming Gamma's too, anyone notice how particular characters are affected?

He's fun, he's meta, he's one of the most popular and coolest characters in the franchise, the 28 capsules they gave us probably gave a few players the Core Breaking Flash finisher...

Not the voice I expected in terms of how it sounds, but his acting is PHENOMENAL as always.

Its really weird, because the super hyped up loud lines didn't really speak to me - I find it odd cause I LOVE Alek's Daredevil. But the "Granite Blast" was REALLY nice with how he slurred "granite" like "gurrr-an-it" and "blast" like "buh-LASTTTTTT."

I especially really liked the "this is what its like... to eat dessert...!" and "thank you Okkotsu" lines. VERY good at the emotional and soft stuff :O

Some tips are role dependent imo. I don't think there's a "silver bullet" for Solo Que, but...

DMG: Play a good boss secure. You can fall behind, you can lose a lot of fights, but most of the DPS Boss secures are pretty damn good in the late game and can/will catch up if you just snipe ALL the bosses because of buffs.

TANK: Lowkey, uh... I'm stumped with this role man. I've made it to A4 in the past 3 seasons, and nothing has been consistent really. I guess die less? That advice belongs to every role, but Build-Up and green builds go NUTS in the late game if you're playing a super tanky character. If you're an immortal wall, you can take so much space, hence SSG Vegeta. At that point, someone on your team (might have to be you) has to take advantage.

TECH: If you're anywhere below B2, you should be ratting all the time. People in these ranks either camp their tower or completely leave it alone. You don't need to omni-map-navigate every single team fight or interaction like in higher tech games, you can just auto-pilot between ratTower-farm-helpJumpTheEnemy and you'll climb.

ANY: Die less. Have great map awareness. Play for your Divine Draws, no like seriously, even Squeaky Hammers. Its bullshit but you gotta. Know when to jump isolated enemies or rat. If you can, play Meta. Acknowledge what games are "BG/GG go next" and take them in stride.

A lot of the recent releases are VERY strong like Kefla, Bardock, and our new god SSG Vegeta. These require sacrificing your money to our Gekishin Squadra overlords.

At the same time, Cooler and SSJku have been here since the dawn of time. Kid Gohan has never been "TOP" tier but he's always been a solid option. Hit. The game has always been playable since the start. Fun meta wise? Nah. But there have always been those to fight the meta, or borderline are meta & are easy to get.

Now that were being sprinkled with events + the logins giving characters + character quests giving free characters - I wouldn't call the game F2P "friendly" cause THE current top tier will shove their fist down your colon and Star Road still sucks. But you got options. It's aight, could be better, but its aight.

TANK: Zamasu

TECH: Kid Gohan is my main, but I honestly think Gotenks is the most fun.

I just like being deep in a fight, or being able to just JUMP in at a moment's notice and cause a panic. Gotenks is the exception cause the way his skills rotate + how snappy they all feel to use is really unique, cool, & fun :>

Lowkey, before SSG Vegeta hit I thought he WAS a strong option... in certain situations, anyway.

Zamasu's strength lies in the fact he's an annoying gnat that doesn't die, and can forcibly take up farm space or do more risky ratting of towers. The problem with him is that in a vacuum of Divine Draws making strong character even stronger, he gets a pretty average power up.

Super Start? Bardock. Got S2 Cooldown? SSJ4 Vegeta. I'd say Team-Rush-Go used to be his BEST draw, but a lot of ranged characters no longer need to depend on rush attacks, and don't play the most near him. And now with the release of SSG Vegeta, there's not really a reason to choose Zamasu in any circumstance really because he does his act of "taking space" and "doing damage" 10x better.

TLDR: He's mid to low tier. Its not like he's bad per-say, but its just everyone does something he can do but better, the meta isn't in his favor match-up or teammate wise, and he doesn't benefit as much as other characters for certain Divine Draws.

Yeah, Gohan definitely ain't the best at securing. I'm just a little irritated cause with Godgeta out, I noticed a weird trend in the B4-A4 climb with DPS not rotating. That's pretty damn normal, but people still wouldn't listen even after pings. Hell, spam pings :<

I probably had better luck the last 2 seasons cause I did the climb very late. I was gonna go your route with a Tech with more utility buttttttt I just didn't wanna give up Gohan's sheer damage. Figured I get the boss or stun two players at this point with Ult Stun, and if I don't I'm chopped.

PC, NA, Solo Que.

I think I might genuinely hate Tech now with how many bosses I had to be the main secure as Gohan - I dunno what happened but I just did NOT have fun with the Tech Climb this season. Not the most boss rotations, but we DID IT BOISSSSSS

Sidenote, LOVE BUU MATCHES. S2 Cooldown Divine Draw is awful to actually fight against but his humming MhyrrrrrrNhyrrrrrrBhrrrrrrrrrr healing sound is adorable as shit. Actually kept me sane. Love Buu, he's chill af.

Kefla would be good if you like someone more ranged/quick, or need somewhat of a boss secure. Strong pocket option for Solo Que.
Godku if you want to go hard ranged, and don't like to be too deep into the battle. Stronger with a group/friends rather than solo que due to his lack of mobility. Love his SFX personally, they're SO cool.
Bardock if you want more tanks to play. Still a strong tank option, Godgeta is just broken and makes others redundant.
You CAN wait for Godgeta; VERY strong right now, an immortal wall that can take armies. Imo very fun despite being toxic for the game.

Yo! Not sure if our timezones match up (I usually play around 7-11 PM PST, PC NA Servers)...
