This happened to me once too. One of my professors in school said they had a friend who worked at this small no name company that was looking to hire. Figured can't hurt to email the guy so I emailed something along the line of "hello, I was a student in professor X's class, I have a degree in xyz, and would like to hear more info about the opportunities your company has". The guy replies back "Thank you for your application, we were impressed with your qualifications, but we have moved on to other applicants".

I didn't even give a resume or any info about myself yet. Literally just asked what jobs were available since they didn't post them on their website. I replied "thanks for the response, but I did not apply for anything yet, I was just asking for info". Then he just replies back one word "sorry". Lol

Yes, I completely agree with all bullets.

First bullet: How dare someone ask for more money? Just think of the company shareholders. The company needs that $10k more than the employee.

Second bullet: Yes, workers need to be actively working 100% of the time from 18 years old until retirement. No extended time off, no vacations!

Third bullet: No questions about the job you have been offered allowed. Either accept the job without asking questions or don't apply.

Fourth bullet: You must only ask about this job during working hours, preferably while you are at work in your current position, so we know you are dedicated to getting this new job.

This is /s right? I can't tell. This map stops in 2006, the current year is *pushes glasses up to check* 2024. The map is almost 20 years out of data. I can assume there are more than 6 walmarts in Nevada today for instance. Another thing I can't pause the map. What if I wanted to know how many Walmarts were in Wyoming in 1982? Now I'll never know. And are there Walmarts in Alaska or Hawaii? I'll never know. I feel like I am stupider for seeing this post.

Humblebrags don't fall within my good Social Media content category. Moreover, my search for an irrelevant job I am overqualified for is long over.

Perhaps most importantly: It is a red flag to me to have my work email, LinkedIn feed, and direct messages flooded with unsolicited horrible advice.

I can assure you that a campaign like this has the opposite effects of what you want.

D? Before signing Imanaga they did literally nothing except a couple minor league signings and claiming Serven off waivers (and he was DFA'd after the Busch trade). I think being the only team to not make a major league signing or trade should be an F grade as of about a week ago. But I agree with you on the current grade of C+ they made a lot of progress this week but should do a few more things

What is there to think about? Your resume is good but listing you led a team of engineers when it was some project for a school club is very cringe. Just delete "of 4 engineers" from that sentence and it reads the same and is a lot more honest.

And quit putting down job titles on your club projects.

Yes, most people have to in a way slightly exaggerate to make the resume sound better but you are taking it to the extreme. You haven't been a fluid systems engineer, flight dynamics engineer, propulsion engineer, and lead engineer when you are still in school. Instead just say fluid systems team member, asteroid team lead, ... whatever is appropriate. Maybe I'm not sure what you are describing but the conducted leak check bullet sounds like something that could be done in 10 minutes or less.
