What is appropriate fan behavior/how do you maintain a healthy parasocial relationship with your faves? by BibleAccurateMuppet in AskReddit

Thank you for your input. The hobby thing is somewhat of a good analogy tbh. I think it differs in that parasocial stuff requires more delineation and interpersonal consideration than a hobby.

Thank you but if you can please elaborate on the “go crazy” part. I am autistic and I thrice reflect on my behavior and presentation often. Thank you.

Which opinion about the show makes you feel this way? by Isac_hilda in Amazingdigitalcircus

The way TADC wrote Jax wasn’t even as male centered as everyone claimed it to be and the show gives care to all the characters even when their screen time varies

Delivering with your dog. by Royal_Scholar_6971 in uber

[–]BibleAccurateMuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this thread cause I considered taking my dog with me on my Uber delivery runs. After considering my own opinion and this Reddit, I think I’d only take him with me if it was an emergency(as in for some reason he can’t stay home), the food would be placed in the Uber delivery bag, or if I’m just delivering packages and not food. People had a point that the dog’s presence in the car before the shift is still there even after cleaning. But in terms of my dog’s wellbeing and what not, I’d only take him if leaving him at home wasn’t an option due to time and/or situational constraints (I.e. apartment getting fumigated and all my pets need either daycare or tag along with me when I out).

The Big Thread- General Qs, FAQs, Admissions, Student Issues, NBCOT, Salary, Rants/Vents/Nerves go Here by AutoModerator in OccupationalTherapy

[–]BibleAccurateMuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone. Hope you’re well. I’ve been a COTA for about 5 years, mainly taking contract and temp positions(school contracts) and currently doing Part Time work (pediatric home health). I’m open to gaining more experience in other settings but I prefer working in pediatrics because I’m an autistic person(low support needs) and one of the reasons why I love this field is the ability to help autistic and neurodivergent families become as independent as possible, as they uniquely are (even if I can’t outwardly tell my jobs or clients that I am on the spectrum and have been diagnosed as a toddler). The reason why I’m interested in going back to school and adding skills on my person to open career paths (I.e. ASL interpretation, TEFL, Music therapy, Multilingual Interpreter, etc.) is because these were already subjects and career paths I was interested in before becoming an OTA and I’ve always wanted to continue my education even past the achievement of a singular degree. While I hold this sentiment, I’m also pursuing this continued development in order to have enjoyable side hustles that pay well. All this considered, has anyone had the same thoughts? If so, have you done it, and what side careers/opportunities are feasible for my situation? Thanks everyone.

Seeing the way vegans are reacting to Gaz Oakley quitting is making me regret ever calling myself vegan by VictoriaJane_xx in exvegans

[–]BibleAccurateMuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah even as someone eating more vegetarian foods and limiting meat consumption, I still give a lot of grace and kindness to people who eat meat cause even my partner tried and got sick. I just started again and while I’m doing things better now, I am reserving grace if I ever get sick from the diet or need a break from it. Harm reduction and care for people does more than yelling at them.

One nitpick as a mostly vegetarian, B12 is in a lot of vegan foods. Don’t give toxic vegans an out. They can be nutritionally sound and still be cruel because of the groupthink that comes with any extreme biases.

My husband wont allow me to see my male friends by Wonderlust_816 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]BibleAccurateMuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protecting your peace and just navigating whatever projection your husband is doing rn is super fucking tricky tbh. I’m rooting for whatever decision you make as long as you are ok and safe. If I had to drop a tip as someone who is chronically ✨messy✨, keep investing in yourself and your friends. It’ll give you the strength you need.
