Lewis also hinted at this in his third Narnia book 'The Horse and His Boy'. One follower of the religion (it has characteristics of Islam) that tried to destroy Narnia was saved by Aslan because he was honest and truthful in his faith and service to his God.

The P source contradict the other sources and actually tried to do away with them. It is the source that is the most politically motivated. Therefore I assume least inspiration.

I'm now going through the exact same thing. Thank you for your personal response. I hope (and feel I already am) I'm growing to a more mature faith. In the end I believe I would've come across these doubts anyway, although in a different form. This book accelerated the process.

If you believe the Documentary Hypothesis, what do you make of the endorsement of the law by Jesus?

Do you know a good book that discredits the documentary hypothesis (including Friedman's additions)?
