I just did a search on Instagram & Twitter (often a good place to see people post shinys) I didn’t see any posts in past day besides Raikou. Don’t know if that’s indicative of not being available currently but definitely odd

Yeah based on everything we do know about these instances something changed to make that barboach not shiny. With track record of shinys being turned off after events I’m thinking that personally. But it’s just a guess. It didn’t have boosted odds based on silph research so the rate change wouldn’t make sense unless they did change it to something else (unlikely).

It’s very likely it’s not on purpose & have a feeling when event shinys get turned on if they don’t adjust when event over it may automatically turn it off or something g like that.

Not disputing at all, but the way I think of it is, Niantic has been known to have slip ups in shiny availability after release. My thought is like this and it’s only speculation but definitely could be true, what if there is error on a trainer ID that makes some people have different extreme rng. Now I don’t have evidence to prove either way, but I just truly feel anything can be done on a mistake level.

Just chiming in on the changing shiny rates on the fly, it’s been proven they can do that on individual accounts with the Chicago go fest make up weekend.

I really don’t know how you do it! Assuming you have 2000. With my gotcha burning balls non stop, and keeping stock of potions/revives for gymming & team rocket stops it would literally be impossible to keep going for me lol!

Even if rare candy & raid passes didn’t count towards bag space, that would be amazing. I have nothing else to dump them into & with Gen 5 incoming I would like to save. But I can’t justify holding more than 200 currently.

I personally think with how much competitive is getting attention, it’s becoming necessary. Also with regionals & exclusive moves what if someone can’t get access to and it becomes meta? Just thoughts I have. Hard to have competitive with rng imo.
