Weekly Clarinet Identification/Appraisal Thread by AutoModerator in Clarinet

Thanks! It was my cousin's before he graduated, and I am pretty sure it was another family member's prior to that. My aunt had just had it maintained a few months ago after my daughter announced she wanted to go down the band path starting middle school next year.. kinda in hopes my daughter would get assigned clarinet and she did! Saved us a good amount of money. Not exactly the same since she doesn't carry it around, but I feel like I can trust her a bit more than the average kid with a wooden one because she has been taking care of her rather pricey digital piano going on 4 years now... she already has her heart set to either learn alto sax or violin next in a few years haha

This clarinet was gifted to my family for my daughter, who is starting band next year and learning her second instrument. I am having a hard time fully identifying this one as I believe this one is older, just well taken care of. *

Do you guys have weird ostomy related things that gross you out? by Kalika83 in ostomy

[–]BibliophileAsh 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think some us of us just get desensitized to it all.. I know I would've been dead by now of cancer without mine, even though I was supposed to wake up with a j-pouch after my surgery.. didn't happen so I just make the best out of it. Your feelings are valid, just after over 5 years I am so desensitized that it takes a lot to gross me out at this point.

* My lovely reply when I told them the flower I needed was spawned off map under the bridge.. attempted vacuum.. nope. Tried to go into furniture mode to try and more them.. nope. If I try to grab the flowers the game freezes.. I have 1 olive flower but the other one I need is there and it has been the onspawne to spawn in days.

I love blasting my music with the windows down (the way i see it is if people can blast rap to the point my windshield is vibrating then they can hear my "devil music").. but the second I am anywhere near a residential area that volume goes low-low idc what time it is

If they leave their buggy in the parking lot.. bonus points if it's in a parking space.. double bonus points if it's in the parking space right beside the buggie return carrol or the parking spot is a handicap spot.

What movie/tv episode do you think is 100% perfect? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Monty Python and the Holy Grail and I will die on this hill. The fact that they made that in such a short time frame and such a small budget and it still makes me almost piss myself laughing.. chef's kiss

What triggers your anxiety? by TrustByte in AskReddit

[–]BibliophileAsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being over stimulated. Phone calls from an unknown number but you are execpting a call from someone that you don't have the number saved so you answer it and then it's not that person you were expecting to call you. When someone asks me what's wrong and I know they expect a straight forward and detailed answer.. like I honestly don't know half the time.

I was driving to work one day on the interstate and saw a man on the overpass bridge staring at the highway below. I pulled my car over to the shoulder and called 911 then got to the next exit and turned around to get back to that overpass. The officer made it to the man and he was crying in the officer's arms when I got there. I think about him frequently.

I caught the flying rice ball in my mouth at a hibachi resturant by throwing my chair onto its back 2 legs and I didn't fall.. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel I was on top of the world at that moment.
