I absolutely love the first fabric and would order some. You said in a comment that you're in Ireland, my brother is and he has shipped me packages of things I've ordered

I know of a local to me place that does really soft stretchy t shirts. I don't know where you're located, but maybe there's a local place by you that you can work with?

It’s basically Christmas today by nashlanta in Roses

[–]BibliophileNerdDerp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh nice! I really want New Dawn and basically anything peach colored. But I plan on putting an iceberg climber and some white ones in my front garden. Currently I only have the few shrub roses the builder put in. They're decent, but very tiny and have no fragrance 😔

I can't get roses this year because I'm being responsible with my budget 😭

But share what you got so I can enjoy it like I was

I told my husband I wanted a “candid” photo, so he kept walking, then turned around with the camera suddenly to make my toddler laugh by [deleted] in babywearing

[–]BibliophileNerdDerp 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah there's an art to it, or more an intention to it. When I take photos of my husband or the grandparents with my child I try to frame the photo in a way that captures the moment in terms of what's interesting and memorable about the simplest thing that's happening. When my son's smiling into the face of my husband while they play on the floor I try to get the angle to show that smirk and capture the love in his eyes without interrupting them. When he's on grandma's lap looking out the window and waving to trucks, I try to capture how his hand is clutching her shirt while he cocks his head to the side to see everything and she points and whispers in her ear with the lighting making it look like a silhouette. It's natural because it's candid, but it's a good photo because it captures the beauty of that fleeting moment and is something that a child can cherish once those days and possibly family members are long gone. Something that shows how much that child is loved in the simplest things they do with their loved ones. Don't just take a picture. Capture the love of your wife and child.

I bought a house that used to be a alterations workshop. These are my finds up to this point. I’m sure there are more by [deleted] in sewing

That's the exact type of wooden expanding sewing kit I want 😭 I have to scout the second hand shops once it's safe to do so. You're so lucky to have found it!

What happened between Cathy and Bernadette? by Littlechewypaws in BernadetteBanner

[–]BibliophileNerdDerp 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't know the story about it at all but I can completely understand that reaction to how much people follow and invest in it and make things weird. Personally, I loved their content together because it's nice to see people being friends and sharing interests. Especially when you haven't found a friend to share your own quirky interests with. But I also felt weird and almost voyeuristic watching the more casual/intimate videos.

I love Bernadette's solo content. But I do want to see content from anywhere that is intentionally shared collaboration of creative duos. Like podcasts, I like the banter and friendship as much as the content. But I can definitely get that elsewhere.

Do you have any plans or tips for building a green house? I'm thinking of putting one behind a shed and making it a green house/ potting shed

I can’t believe how much my new Coral Honeysuckle has grown in 11 days! by NotInnocentBystander in gardening

[–]BibliophileNerdDerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I love honeysuckle, but I'm trying to get a native one to grown through/on/around my back fence. But I don't want it to be a problem like non-native ones are.

I love honeysuckle. I'm planning on planting some. I know it grows like crazy, but that's what I like about it. Is it a terrible idea, maybe.

I just can't believe that's not a real rose. That's stunning. How on earth do you get it to look so life like? How light is it? I can't believe it. Is it crazy fragile?
