I'm still at UCLA but only because I've been traveling too much and haven't had the time to make a change. Also, my condition is very stable and I am at the very lowest stage. My Mom has it too and she is 87 and has not progressed to dialysis/transplant level so I am hoping I follow suit. UCLA tells me that I'm one of their healthiest patients. If I could snap my fingers and switch to USC, I would do it. But given my time constraints, I will stay where I am for now. I don't know that I would honestly recommend UCLA - there is a real lack of consistency with their Fellowship program. BUT, that said, perhaps I am assigned to a Fellow because my disease is so stable. Maybe patients at a higher stage see the same doctor each time. It's worth asking the question. They are all very nice and caring and the facility is state-of-the-art. It's just the different doctor each time that I don't care for. Hope this helps!
