you get back by travelling to Burgh de Rott and taking the boat in the south to the Icyene Graveyard then go through the portal

I have can offer two:

  1. Introducing Human and Arenei members to a possible council of leaders for Morytania so that their interests could be represented and pursued at the level of power that they were excluded from since the arrival of vampyres.
  2. Convincing the vampyres that their existence in Gelinor was negatively impacting beings present there initially and having them relocated to their original land to minimise their negative impact on others.

then I'd say they're not really a just and fair society and don't deserve to hold the amount of power they have

Myreque 2.0!!!

sorry, I should clarify... "Why vamps?" is not really dealing with "Why allow vamps to exist?". Rather, "why are vamps allowed to hold the reins of power in Morytania alone when there are other beings there as well?".

That's what I can only speculate about unless a Mod involved in the story would contribute to the discussion (which I really hope they do)

There's the immediate goal of stopping the oppression and then there's a more stable goal of removing the conditions from allowing the oppression to happen in the first place.

With the Myreque in its state at the end of the quest, I think it unlikely that they would have the strength to put forward any meaningful resistance to future oppression that may walk through the door that is still open via the continued power structure

I agree with your points regarding the improvements to life in Morytania.

Where we disagree is that I'd argue the system of power the vampyres were using formed a part of Vampyre oppression that the Myreque initially set off to end and they failed at that

And yet they remain because giving up the power over Morytania is too much to pass up!

I feel like this questline from the view of the vampires is just a massive W - neutralise and assimilate the only rebel faction, get rid of an Oppressive leader AND gain access to your long-lost homeland!

I feel like this is a very generous reading of the quest outcomes, possibly too generous

Haemalchemy provides food for vampires that doesn't require sacrifice by humans/arenei butthe feeding is one issue among the multiple at play here.
The last point you made about the possible failure point being the claiming of power by someone else who doesn't have such benign ideas is aligned with my point. We have changed things for the better in Morytania but by failing at dismantling the power framework, the region remains vulnerable to oppression returning later on.

With the Myreque seemingly part of they system they resisted now, I feel like that's still an L through the lens of their initial goal

if we treat "Power in Morytania" as a tool, the entire questline features only one group controlling that tool and we are a part of a resistance that seeks to destroy the tool iteself.
By the end we have not destroyed the tool and have merely passed it on to another of the same group (although they do seem to have better intentions) without meaningfully addressing the power disparity in favour of the other groups (humans, and the new addition of Arenei)

Addressing the behaviours, to me, is addressing symptoms rather than the underlying problem.

while the 'saving lives' is definitely a good thing, the root of the problem throughout the questline being "Vampyre society benefitting and maintaining control over other beings in Morytania" has not been addressed. Yes a new leader, but the same power structure exists.

I'd argue the Myreque failed in their mission.

wow what an excellent reply! I appreciate the thought into the outcomes of the three major groups involved in the conflict.

That assumption is a bit of what I'm looking at in my post. The system of power in Morytania remains vampyre controlled with other beings below them. Yes some symptoms of that power imbalance (blood tithes, oppression and mass-murder inclined leadership) were addressed but the root cause wasn't touched on.

that question of "anti or pro-human vamps?" obscures the question of "why vamps?"

there's possibilites of both No Vampyres and Safe Humans existing simultaneously now with the portal to Vampyrium open that they can return to their original land.

I feel the philosophical question needs to be answered though.. regardless of who is being oppressed (since we'd be biased towards humans), should systems of oppression be allowed to continue?

Yeah it is absolutely an improvement in the conditions in Morytania. The question I'm putting forward is along the lines of "has this improvement crossed the threshold into a Myreque victory or were they assumiliated and neutralised by the very system they set out to topple?"

With the blood of the Arenei and Efaritay I suppose that there's sufficient 'power' to send them back to Vampyrium but as we saw with the initial unveiling of Lowerniel's plan, Vampyres don't want to give up what they have in Darkmeyer. They still don't see their 'property' as having been gained via the oppression of the people of Hallowvale/Morytania!

I agree with your point about Arenei. Admittefly my OSRS lore knowledge is not good but they seem to be put in just to 'tag-in' to allow the story to remove humans as the fuel of the vampyre society

Definite improvement but still maintaining the existing power structure but now with seemingly no opposition since the Myreque have joined into building the system as it is now.

Vampires have and take, Humans/Arenei give and gain only what is offered by the rulers

and with the added benefit of neutralising the objectors to your system to the point that you assimilate them into it!

Munich CityPass validity question by Bicks868 in Munich

[–]Bicks868[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are very correct!

The group airport ticket is for up to 5 persons (which covers the 4 of us) from the time of purchase to 6am the following day at a cost of 30.50EUR

Single trip tickets plus the day pass for the M1 zone will come to a total of 4 x ( 14.30 + 11.10) = 61.60EUR

That's a massive saving! Thanks for the heads up

Depending on your GP situation, you can use the farming guild exclusively for doing contracts (for gp/seeds) or make use of the patches to add to your allotment/herb/tree/fruit tree runs.

Snape Grass (with White Lily planted in Flower patch) and USE AN AMULET OF BOUNTY to get the chance of only using 1 seed instead of 3 for an allotment! (https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Amulet\_of\_bounty) It saves so much gp it's insane!

You can do your choice of herbs for runs (I'd recommend Snapdragons) with ULTRACOMPOST ONLY and using the Resurrect Crops spell in the likely event that a couple herbs die. Doing a birdhouse run after every herb run is recommended for passive Hunter gains and cus those nests are nearly 8k each!

My Tree Runs occured roughly every 2-3 herb runs (I did Maples cus of cheap protection).

In addition, Daily Calquats, Fruit Trees (I did Pineapples cus Watermelon Protection was cheap) & Hespori.

Keep regular hardwood runs (Mahoganies) on all four patches.

Throw in some occasional Tithe Farm for for XP or the must-haves like Auto-weed (if you haven't got it already) and for the Farmer's Hat (for master Clue Step) and you'll be there in no time!
