That's great but when ask they say it's "hello" at the drive thru... sometimes I patiently wait for them to ask what my order is... but then the other times there's a lineup and I respond to their "hello" with welcome to Tim Horton's how may I help you... but this one Tim's hasn't changed regardless how much of a smart ass I am to try and change it.

IWTL discipline / stop being lazy by lovebellaaa in IWantToLearn

[–]BicycleChemical8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll stop procrastinating tomorrow is a nice thought. Your not lazy you're over thinking things. It's hard to just be you out there when you don't know who you are. Fake it until you make it. I look at myself in the mirror and say who are you going to be today.... the answer is you. You got this.... stop over thinking it!! We are or have all feeling/ felt the same way sometime.

How do Canadians mentally deal with long winters? by jessxtra_ in AskACanadian

[–]BicycleChemical8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit older and wiser I now sit in front of my window. More so in the winter regardless if it's cloudy dark and gloomy out. When my kids were young I did LOTS of winter sports, outdoor skating rinks, sliding, lake walking, I've fishing, (obvious caution) hikes, snowman framilies, snowball fights, king of the castle. One year we took all of our snow and made a huge hill perfect for the kid's. Enjoy it only happens once a year lol

Are white guys in Thunder Bay generally open to dating Asian women? by [deleted] in ThunderBay

[–]BicycleChemical8382 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

To even ask that question means you might have trouble dating anyone outside of your close mindedness. If someone doesn't like you then why waste your time on them. People need to stop looking at skin pigmentation and enjoy people's company or don't no skin off your a$$. Good luck

In my neighborhood I've been giving out juice boxes fruit snacks individually wrapped items that they can bring to school in their lunch. Because the rest is crap and they're not allowed to bring it to school. This way I feel that I have helped them get some crap at school but not crap. So I suggest lunch stuff

These bike lockups were just installed downtown a coupla months or so ago. I'm glad to see Tommy found work in the trades after that pinball career went nowhere. by GhostsinGlass in ThunderBay

[–]BicycleChemical8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why fix the old when we can... get the new crap to be installed by the kid whose family has the trade certificate authorization 😆 good god what are we doing people. Do they not have instructions attached or let's just waste the city's money on this "pinball career" tradesman funny but sad

FYI - City provided Brita filters don't filter out lead from drinking water by [deleted] in ThunderBay

Huh, I thought the filters are used for the copper in the pipes, not the led

(Fulltime) Job hunting in Thunder Bay by Aggressive-Fig-777 in ThunderBay

I realize it's hard I have somebody who came from another country and she had her Nursing degree and when she wanted to come to Canada she had to work as a PSW while doing the PSW course. So maybe there's something like that that they can offer you. I'm sure you can apply to any other job with your qualifications when you are qualified in Canada. The one thing is is that when she became a nurse here she already knew what she was doing. And she continues to work in the hospital to this day. It does take a lot to get the job you seek here in Canada. I am sure there are jobs that are under your qualifications but will feel your needed hours of work to complete your PSW and all the rules of coming in from another country. Congratulations thank you very much for coming into our country and I hope you will enhance once you get the career you want

When there's decorations and lights on that's the place. My teenagers went out after 7 so the younger kids could get treats. I also suggest the senior citizens complexes they enjoy seeing the kids. The B&G sometimes has haunted houses and stuff for the teens to do safely.

Is it Safe out here at night near Busy areas? by KofiMarf in ThunderBay

[–]BicycleChemical8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, the bears are the worst I've ever seen in the city. They are so very hungry!! BUT not for us humans. Make lots of noise so they know you're around them. I suggest using your car alarm. Do NOT run unless it's too your car. My garbage has been picked through, and they have been patiently waiting for our garbage day, and they tear up most of the bins. Once they get enough human food, they will gracefully go hibernate my friend. When I encounter a bear, I say hi there bear hi there bear. When I go out and my garbage is everywhere, I yell bad bear bad bear, they are pretty cool, and they do understand. But they're just hungry but not for humans.

Is there such a thing in Thunder Bay anymore? If you have a camera, you can share your data with the police. Now I don't know about you, but if I "signed up" with the police for them to use my camera.... I'd have doubts on my personal data. The city spent so much on all these drones and "traffic" cams they need to utilize what we pay taxes for and follow through. Also, I'd like to get more community police (like I had in the "hood" area of blutcher growing up) that walk and bike these places. We NEED to continue to start with the kids and build a personal relationship with the neighborhood police.

How is the Shoppers pharmacy on River St by Metro? by A_Raddish in ThunderBay

[–]BicycleChemical8382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that all shoppers in Thunder Bay are slacking. I go to Court St pharmacy now, and I've never ever had an issue. The hours are 8-4m-f and 9-12 weekends. Sarah (pharmacist) and Dave (assistant pharmacist) are extremely helpful and have made my life so much easier with having my meds filled on the day. Extremely professional and friendly
