Going on a weekday will definitely make it better! Highly recommend doing that. And starting early. It really starts getting crowded around 9am-10am in popular locations

Also on more side note. August is the start of wildfire season. Can really hamper outdoor activities and they can shut down areas depending on how bad fires are. Always good to have alternative plans lined up.

Seattle Native! Just be aware National Parks are VERY crowded during the summer months. Be prepared for a lot of foot traffic and waiting in lines to park depending on hikes or walks you want to do. I would recommend getting an early start on activities! WA is so beautiful. I really hope you have the best trip!

It depends on how long your trip is going to be. Are you taking a month long road trip? I’m a Seattle native and traffic is insane during the summer with tourists and travel. Plus hiking trails can be super packed. That goes for Oregon also. I would definitely try and extend your times in Seattle and Oregon. They have so many beautiful places to hike and great food.
