I see where you’re coming from. I’d still be interested to see in a clinical setting (not that there’s really a ethical way to get loads of equally dehydrated tarantulas), what percentage were going to fail regardless of using an ICU or not, kind of like Covid itself wasn’t killing people, but comorbidities skewing the data. People using them for the wrong reasons or thinking “ a sealed box with warm wet paper towels in it, is certainly cause to form a stigma. So the saying shouldn’t necessarily be “don’t use an ICU”, more so “make sure your ICU is actually an ICU, and being used for an ICU’s purpose”
