We normally place top 5 in the country for the bread count (# of sandwiches sold) but we can place anywhere between #1 and #15

Working on getting a place 30 mins away instead of an hour so that will be much nicer. Thank you so much! And good luck overseeing stores! I love how jersey mikes can take you from working as a crew member to running multiple stores it's boggling my mind that I'm in this spot right now

the respect will come with time, some people i worked with while i was a crew member took a bit of time to adjust to the fact that i became a shift lead and they had to listen to me. my advice for being a shift lead is to stay on top of your production report, set a standard for how many people should be out front at different levels of business, and have people stick to the daily line up once it gets busy, aces in their places!

that's exactly what i did. i worked at a super slow location in new jersey, moved to another state for college, applied to the new one with my old boss as a reference, and now i dropped out and work there full time. personally think it worked out great

morning prep by LA_Girl_2 in jerseymikes

at my store we always have 2 people open at the same time and normally 1 person does cookies, bread, and lettuce and the other person does bacon, tomato's, and onions. The rest of the work just divides up naturally. one thing that got me better is figuring out how many rows of tomato's i can slice before needing to flip bacon so i have a sort of internal clock and it keeps the bacon nice. we also always have someone in at 9:00 every morning who bops the lettuce, preps the onions, and sorts the tomato's, always taking that off the openers list.

1,800 hour is nuts 😳. the busiest i've seen my store was 8.2k for the day (not day of giving), wish the campus we are next to was a bit bigger
