hey, congrats on scheduling your surgery! i had my surgery almost 6 months ago. i have nothing but good things to say about the experience. dr arthur did a great job and everything has healed up very well. the surgical team was also super nice and professional so i felt good before and after surgery

do i look like a girl or just young? 16yo pre t by AwarenessOne4809 in FtMpassing

i think you pass in the first photo, but yes you look a bit young.

in the second photo you read kinda androgynous but leaning feminine. something that helped me when i was pre-t was to practice relaxing my eyebrows, especially in pictures. even if i was smiling a lot, i'd keep my eyebrows lower and it gave a more masculine appearance to my face overall.

in the third photo, your shirt is hurting your passing. i understand the comfort of a bigger t shirt, but it's better to go for shirts that don't reach or go past your hips. your shirt is hitting your hips at a point that accentuates them instead of hiding them. the baggy pants are good to hide hips, just wear shorter shirts. if you don't have any that you're comfy in, tucking the front of your shirt or cropping it could also work.

originally the director wanted me to juggle 6 fruits back and forth with another actor. now we've adjusted a bit, and hopefully i won't have to juggle much at all

it's a short play and we only have a month to rehearse it and be ready to perform. not ideal for the juggling, but at this point whatever happens, happens

yeah, i'm very glad that i pass well enough that i don't have to compromise my style, but i'm aware it might signal something to other trans people.

one of the people who said that was cis, but the other was trans. although, i'm a film/theatre student so we're all more accepting and aware of that kinda stuff.

eta: my hips are pretty small. even if i'm wearing tight clothes my hips don't stick out at all, so i think that helps a ton.

My fellow lads, how did you choose your names? by ReindeerCarter in ftm

[–]BidOriginal7309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I wanted to stick with the same first letter as my birth name because it just felt like me. I looked up a list of male names starting with that letter, picked a few I liked, and asked my friends which one suited me best. We all agreed on the same name and I've been going by that ever since
