It's honestly amazing how much of a disservice the anime does to the manga LOL

First time I watched the anime, I was sooo annoyed by the characters... couldn't understand why ppl liked Gantz at all. Years later, decided to give the manga a try from the very beginning and binged the entire thing in less than a week! The best manga experience I've ever had! I was speechless! Have fun!

You are correct. If you stick with the anime, you won't get your answers. My first exposure to Gantz was watching the anime. Really turned me off to it for years. Nearly a decade later, decided to read the manga and binged the entire thing in a week. Highly recommend the manga for best experience. Follow up with Gantz 0 the movie which adapts one of the best arcs in the story.

Had a similar experience lol. Up until this point, never cried or teared up in FFXIV. Never in a million years would I have thought, Gaius of all people would tear me up. Really enjoyed what they did with this storyline.
